Van Jones and ACORN, move over... Here's another story the liberal media is doing it's best to avoid reporting on.

As for CNN, it has been broadcasting for almost 100 straight hours since this story broke, and it appears the so-called "Most Respected Name In News" has yet to devote one second to this scandal.

By contrast, Fox News did at least four reports on this subject on Monday alone. The Australian Broadcasting Corporation has also done multiple stories on this matter, as has BBC.com.

Yet, despite the seriousness of this issue, as well as a prominent Senator calling for hearings to investigate it, America's television news organizations appear to be actively boycotting this growing controversy.

Barely a "bip" about it over here also. The only thing we have heard is that yes there was a break-in in the server and documents were stolen. Some were released but there is no way to confirm which are from the server and which are made up by the hackers or others.

So as long as the investigation is on going, then I think it is rather wise to not start using the documents in some kind of vendetta... who knows, the whole thing might be staged by the hackers.. we simply do not know yet.

There appears to be evidence here of attempts to prevent scientific data from being released, and even to destroy material that was subject to a freedom of information request.

Worse still, some of the emails suggest efforts to prevent the publication of work by climate sceptics, or to keep it out of a report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. I believe that the head of the unit, Phil Jones, should now resign. Some of the data discussed in the emails should be re-analysed.

OK. So we have an investigation as you say. So we should suspend judgment on the truth or falsity of the documents released by the hackers. OK.

So the documents may be true or false. This being the case, we must consequently withhold judgment on what the documents say until completion of the investigation.

If the investigation is conducted honestly without an agenda it will show one of three possibilities. Either the hackers have: (1) forged documents that purport to show the scientists at East Anglia University have manipulated climate data for political purposes; (2) released documents prepared by East Anglia scientists that proves their manipulation of climate date for political purposes; or (3) cherry picked documents which are accurate, but taken out of context (somebody has some explaining to do).

There is no presumption favoring either the hackers or the "scientists" at East Anglia University.

One of the things said inferentially in the released documents is that the global warming computer models have been manipulated for political purposes. If this is true we have no choice but to suspend belief in the University of East Anglia's computer models until they have been proven to be true.

Until the investigation is complete we have no choice but to wait to see whether we believe the hackers or the purported scientists at East Anglia.

It's ok to withhold judgment on the hackers as long as we also withhold judgment on the East Anglia "scientists" and their allegations of coming global warming.

Even these organizations' websites are blank when it comes to this story. The hyperbole and misunderstanding on the skeptics' side is flowing in earnest, but the event was still clearly newsworthy. There is no valid reason not to cover the leak

What's not to believe? It's a story, and Fox is the only TV news network as of this morning to report on it.

I hate to tell you this, but I heard about it on the Lehrer news hour I think it was...

For some one who throws a fit at any link that might have a liberal somewhere in the ownership of the site, to consider Newsbusters reliable is laughable in the extreme.
