I live in a small college town in North East. There are Obama posters all over the drug store, the grocery store, the bookstore ... etc. I don't even bother to go on campus anymore. I swear one day I'm going to snap and end up in the police blotter for drawing horns, blackened teeth, and the Friends haircut all over his highness's likeness.

eta: The drug store to which I'm referring is Rite Aid, so it's not just CVS.

Well, when you live in one of the most important areas of the US, you don't have to bother with petty things like running into the drugstore.

LOL, not quite everywhere. For me, a trip to a CVS, McDonald's, movie theater, Walmart or Starbuck's involves an aircraft.

Dude, you're in alaska. The only folks there who don't use aircraft use sled dogs and snowmobiles!

LOL, true is spirit perhaps, but not in fact. About half of our population lives in the Anchorage area, and so are urbanites. (This leads to very distorted state politics.)

Those of us in Southeast Alaska, (A.K.A. the Alaskan Banana Belt,) use regular vehicles on our limited and self-contained roadways. We also use a lot of "four-wheelers," and a few snowmobiles in season.

It's actually a rainforest here.

Further north, people use snowmobiles more often.

Supposedly, Yakutat, where I live, is the smallest village in the world with daily jet service.

I love it when I walk past the comic book store (like a Spencer's) in the mall and on the t-shirt rack there's a tee of George w Bush sucking blood from the neck of the Statue of Liberty right next to a tee of Barack Obama ripping open his dress-shirt to expose a Superman-like "O" on his chest.


This time the revolution will be on sale at the local mall for $9.99
