I consider it a possibility at times but claiming it to be a certainty? Absolutely not.

But it is also very evident that the Israeli's are both using excessive force AND completely disregarding any potential civilian casualties.

Who is saying YOU have to care about them? As a Catholic Christian, I am concerned about all people, but most of all, I am concerned about the Chosen People of God and the Holy Land.

There are statistics, damned statistics, and lies. THe only think your stats prove is that there are more Palestinian children that have died than Israeli. You have obviously not considered other factors that may be involved.

Those are not "my" stats.
I've considered many things, for many years.
I view both sides equally in the conflict while having a very slight lean to the Israeli's due to the "Hamas Charter".

Since I have no bias for either side, things like numbers and facts tend to make an Impression on me.

I am concerned about all people as they are all our brothers and sisters. The Chosen people are those chosen by God, that that was the Hebrews.

Statistics mean little without proper context. I don't know if you have ever studied statistics or statistical methods before, but the numbers are one thing. However, sufficient background is needed to INTERPRET those numbers.

I feel for the Palestinian people, however, the Israelis have the right to protest their people as well.

On the other hand, I don't buy into the "chosen people" concept, probably because I don't worship your God.

So I think I will continue to give my own nation top priority.

That is your right - however, I have a larger view than that as a result of being faithful to God's universal Church.

They stopped being the "Chosen People" when God gave us Jesus Christ.
