It's truly amazing how fast false information is spread by the right wing machine.
I did a google search on the first sentence and Leno and found 4000 hits.

Take Jay Leno out of the picture. For arguments sake, lets just say I wrote the chain-letter, replace every mention of Jay Leno and replace it with the name Theodore Milhouse. Does the fact that its not a "celebrity" saying all this make the point any less valid? Does the fact that it was some "normal" citizen that wrote it make it any less credible? Are you saying that, since you proved it wasn't Jay Leno who said it, the point is destroyed? |

Current Mood: | Re: Interesting perspective from Jay Leno Why shouldn't we take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance? What help was God during Hurricane Katrina? Or 9/11?
Why can't we be upset with a President who sent us into a war we had no hope of finishing? I don't agree with insulting him, but why can't we try to correct his errors?
Why can't we be mad about the fact that, under this President, our country has gained trillions of dollars in debt?
Why can't we be mad that, around our country, women are still denied safety as they control their uteruses?
Why can't we think that, although our country is a fantastic place to live, it's not getting better as quickly as it can? Does that make us spoiled brats? Whoever's idea (not Jay Leno's) this was, they seem to be as blinded by idealism as the most pessimistic of our media icons.

The Newsweek poll alleges that 67 percent of Americans are unhappy
with the direction the country is headed, and 69 percent of the
country is unhappy with the performance of the President. In essence,
2/3's of the citizenry just ain't happy and want a change.
| These questions address where is the country is heading and the president's performance. The argument of this e-mail is for the status quo. Basically, the polls show that people think we can do better as a country and our president could be doing a better job. This email is trying to demonize anyone who thinks we can do better than we are. It seems to advocate that this is as good as it gets, so quit whining. Like most conservative emails, this is a joke and easy to logically pick apart.

1- Not everyone has a air conditioner and heat in the winter The only 'FREE OIL' comes from A Kennedy in Mass.!
2- Not everyone has a job.
3- Clean and safe motels? Sure the ones like Leno that can afford are clean and safe.Most of that 2/3 of people can't afford to go stay in a motel.
Seems he forgot all about the people stranded in New Orleans in a stadium practicly starving.
4-5-6-20-200-2,000- 2million = Same $hit! Nothing there that the average Joe can afford
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Isn't it great to have plenty of money like Leno???
But the fact is that like our politicans and rich people like Leno, the all have lost touch with reality of how the working Joe and Jane with a couple of kids have to work two jobs just to exist.
How The F---- are they going to have enough $$$ to have all the $HIT Lenos talking?
Sad that Leno fell as deep and low as our politicans did.
Hes just another rich-out-of-touch-with-reality-of-working-Americans AZZHOLE!
I would like this essay if it wasn't seeking to kiss this president's a$$ so much.
We do have a lot to be grateful for, but George Bush is not one of them. |
If the fact that Leno supposedly said this was immaterial, why did Navy Pride lie and say that he did? Ask him. |
He squandered surplus deficits, we are trillions more in debt, and pinned down in a quagmire in Iraq based on a "mistake."
The real mystery is why 31% still think he's doing a keen job. |
