"Last September the Obama administration produced an FBI report that said mass shooting attacks and deaths were up sharply—by an average annual rate of about 16% between 2000 and 2013. Moreover, the problem was worsening. “The findings establish an increasing frequency of incidents,” said the authors. “During the first 7 years included in the study, an average of 6.4 incidents occurred annually. In the last 7 years of the study, that average increased to 16.4 incidents annually.”
The White House could not possibly have been more pleased with the media reaction to these findings, which were prominently featured by the New York Times, USA Today, CNN, the Washington Post and other major outlets. The FBI report landed six weeks before the midterm elections, and the administration was hoping that the gun-control issue would help drive Democratic turnout.

I don't know if this was Obama's administration or not, but this is just wrong.

It should surprise absolutely no one that biased, agenda driven reports of all sorts come out around election time. The primary function of government is to preserve and expand government so, to that end, government must keep the masses cowering in fear.

Is there something inaccurate about the report or is it wrong because you don't want people to talk about it?

Banning the sale of firearms to children is gun control. A background check is gun control. Licensing firearms dealers is gun control. Some you are ok with, some you aren't.

If a person has a felony record of armed robbery, should they legally be able to purchase a firearm?

Im not ok with any of those things.

If someone has a felony record of armed robbery they are going to find a gun anyway. Heres a better idea...if you commit armed robbery you get to rot in prison instead of getting back on the streets.

Ya dig?

Sure, why not? I bought a high powered rifle when I was 14...the same year I started deer hunting.

Of course it was really my "dads" gun....but I used my own money, and I used it myself for hunting. The only thing he did was go through the background infringement....er, background check. This same thing has happened millions of times. What was so wrong about me purchasing that rifle for my own lawful purposes? I have never hurt anyone with a firearm...so lets hear your justification as to why I shouldnt have been able to simply purchase that rifle on my own.

As you formulate a response, Im going to go take a big deuce.
