That's right folks, on Tuesday Mike Huckabee announced he's running for president, that very night she gets an "Exclusive" interview with the new candidate. Wow!

On Wednesday her luck is with her again. She gets an "Exclusive" interview with Dr. Ben Carson who announced his candidacy earlier in the day. Boy, she sure is lucky, two "Exclusive" interviews in two days.

Could this happen again when more people announce their bids for the GOP nomination?

Time will tell I guess.

well, i mean, it's the Republican network. Republicans want to be on it just like Dems want to be interviewed by MSDNC. why is this a surprise?

You expecting ABC, or NBC, or CNN to afford the same time to Huckabee or Carson that they afford to Hillary?

I too would love to interview people that will never become president so I could ask them what in the hell they're thinking.

And? Why does this matter in any way?

As Hillary? No. Why would they?

I think ABC, NBC and CNN would love to interview Hillary. Except she isn't doing interviews.

Either one of you catch the point as it relates to what the OP is going on about?

Huckabee and Carson aren't real candidates so naturally wouldn't get as much attention from any network as Hillary would.

Fox News would gladly do exclusives with Hillary.

What's the problem here?

What's the big friggin deal with Kelly interviewing candidates for the GOP? Hannity had exclusives with Walker, Cruz and Paul. It only makes sense they would hold their first interviews with a network where commentators tend to share their ideology some fiscally others socially and others yet constitutionally. Why use up that first interview with folks from CBS, ABC, NBC, CNN, or MSNBC? These people are ready to report every time a GOP candidate farts sideways. Why ruin what is a momentous day for the candidate by sitting through an interview with someone wanting desperately make them out to look like fools? However, after every "exclusive interview on Fox" all candidates end up giving interviews with the other news media.

And? Why does this matter in any way?

Oh, I fully support this. You will probably think i'm crazy, but I have for a long time had a theory that because Fox does this the Republicans end up with the worst candidate possible. Just think of those fringe candidates they give credence to.

I just don't see what the problem is. It must be a slow news day.

How do you define "fringe" candidates?

Do you actually watch Fox or only rely on Media Matters to tell you what was said?

Kelly gave an interview to Rand Paul, Walker, and others. She doesn't hold back on vetting them. Neither does Hannity. They both ask tough questions. Not like the soft ball stuff that CNN puts out and gave it its name Clinton News Network when "vetting Democrat candidates". They and all of the mainstream media, did not vet Obama by asking tough questions nor did they do any investigative reporting of his days in Chicago before becoming a U.S. Senator and the organizations and the people he associated with that launched his career into politics .

This country is in such a mess, I want to see the candidates vetted. It is going to darn near take Superman, Wonder Woman to clean up the mess in Washington. I want the best man/woman for the job.

Extreme left or right canidates who have no experience in politics or if they do are just wacky like michelle Bachmann, Herman Cain, Ben Carson, etc...

I don't think Cain was particularly extreme, just very limited. His "tax plan" was ripped straight out of SimCity.

I think it's rather strange for fox to do this. I think the Republicans would have much better chance of winning if they did it old fashion way through the MSM.

Wow. Fascinating. I guess the couples who got voted off Dancing With The Stars weren't available so she had to settle for 2 people applying for a meaningless little job.

Anyone who doesn't have a chance on Earth of even coming close to winning... A political has-been (Huckabee) and a guy who has never been anything political (Carson). That's pretty fringe by ANY standard. I mean, yes Carson has had a stellar career ... in medicine but the guy has A) no political experience, B) no political clout anywhere and C) zero chance of being elected. After that you have Huckabee. The guy who beefs with Jay-Z and Beyonce because he feels like Beyonce is not independent enough to make decisions about her own career. C'man. They're pretty "fringy".

I think the point of of the post was the Megyn Kelly/Fox is trumpeting the fact that they got an 'exclusive' interview with these two as if it were some big journalistic coup. I think those two would do an interview with a the local Community College cable show if the ywere asked.

Are you upset about this, at least the GOP candidates are being interviewed, and many are being interviewed by the MSM. Unlike Hillery who will not speak to anyone. I would love to see Megyn interview Hillery. But that's not going to happen, she'll set up with a supporter that will hand her softballs. But I sense she's falling out of favor with the liberal MSM
