Obama critisezes Christians at Easter breakfast prayer[W:15, 43]

Re: Obama critisezes Christians at Easter breakfast prayer

My point is that people are individuals but you're very comfortable making judgments while decrying people being judgmental. No worries. I don't want to rock your very comfortable (to you) world view.

I am judgmental where appropriate, and according to my values and ethics. You're no different, no better, and because you (claim) to have a liberal attitude towards gays doesn't disprove the rule that being critical and discriminatory of gays is prevalent within conservative Christianity.

You subscribe to a religion which (if you believe the scripture) sentences me to burn in Hell, so get out of here with your phony-baloney, 'you're judgemental, but not me" victim pretense. It's sad and pathetic.

Re: Obama critisezes Christians at Easter breakfast prayer

This thread can be summarized as grown men and women crying that someone made a comment they didn't like.

Re: Obama critisezes Christians at Easter breakfast prayer

...which is all Obama was doing.... not even calling out charlatans, but suggesting there was sin amongst the sinners....

And there's nothing necessarily wrong with that. We all need a gentle rebuke from time to time. But is the President the person to offer such a rebuke? Is he "fair and balanced" in his rebukes? And does he himself "walk the talk"?

What qualifications does one need to offer a rebuke? While I personally think Obama is atheist/agnostic, he claims to be a Christian, and he's effectively the leader of America. Does he need a big hat or something?

If, as you believe, he's actually lying about his religious beliefs that would make him far less credible. Like, why would I take someone like that seriously. Only some bizarre screwed up thinking would point to someone pretending they're something they're not and be like, "that's someone you should really listen to."

Unfortunately you don't have the luxury of relying on my opinion of Obama's faith (unless you really respect me). And you are not required to take him seriously. I certainly never asked you to take him seriously or listen to him. If his statement is invalid to you and your beliefs, then dismiss it. You don't have the right to not be offended -- and if you are deeply offended, you should ask yourself why.

He got his info from Castro, his new friend.

They're politicians i guess. Obama supported SSM as a lowly state legislator in 1996, but opposed it as a prez candidate from 2006-2012. Bush II pushed for a constitutional amendment banning SSM, but insiders said he never talked about it - "I don't think he gives a ****" - and lobbyists like the FRC frequently threatened to leave him behind.

Reading between the lines, i conclude obama was always atheist and bush was a mild-moderate theist. They both lied for votes and it's not hard to see why. Polls indicate the last demographic americans would accept for prez is an atheist.

The last president who was probably sincere about his beliefs, at least some of the time, was Reagan.
