Fox news is very opinionated from what ive seen however i do think they represent what a lot of people think.All i hear from people though is how biased it is and how wrong it is but dont people who think the same way deserve some representation.

I disagree with most of what is said on fox news however i do think it says what alot of people think in america.Thats what has always stopped me being a lliberal the fact they talk of personnel freedoms as long as they are used the way they like.Say what you like i take a libertarian stand point if a news company is run by someone who wants to employ people like minded so be it. I do think the conservatives on fox news are genuinely conservative and are giving their opinions honestly mostly.

Your free to criticise but most opinions in politics arent black and white with wrong and right answers.

so why is it called a news network if it is so permeated by one-sided opinions? are opinions news? fox is a great place, I've found, to tune in to in order to hear lots of right-wing opinions. it's a terrible place to actually get informed. I'm glad we agree.

I see FOX News as a place a rightwinger can go to be soothed and calmed. Kinda like a surrogate mommy, if you will, caressing their body, brushing their cheek, whispering in their ear, "It's OK. I think that Fox News thrives on sensationalism and this is why they get killer ratings. People want news with an edge, and with Fox News they will get just that. I also think that many people on the right feel that it is fair and balanced solely because they feel that all other news in this country has a liberal bias. They feel that Fox News' blatant conservative bias balances that out. Personally, I think that news should be about reporting facts and then letting people decide for themselves rather than trying to shove opinions down their throats. Personally, I find the channel rather comical. What I find even more hilarious is that there are actually people stupid enough to swallow it up without question. It's even better when they get someone like Ann Coulter on. She's a riot.

FOX News gets it's audience, a balanced audience, because it gives BOTH sides. That's why conservatives and the right and those on the left who want to be fully informed watch it instead of the leftest media which ONLY gives one side, the liberal side.

pardon me for being under the impression that the subject of the thread was Fox News. I'm a little bit perplexed as to why the focus has shifted now to what every company in the world does to a certain point. does every company in the world let all of its "like minded people" air their own personal opinions? not as much as Fox News.

fact: Fox News contains more opinion in its "news coverage" than other networks and mainstream media entities.
fact: nearly all of those opinions happen to be right-wing.
fact: the Fox audience is more likely to make false conclusions about major stories than audience of other mainstream media entities.

Fox gets its audience because they rely on political theatrics and sensationalism with shows like The O'Reilly Factor and Hannity and Colmes. Granted, they are opinion shows, but they display heavy amounts of sensationalism which is why those are the highest rated shows on that channel.
