When I think back to all the gloating and talk of referendums and mandates in 2006 and 2008, I just can't help thinking Dems are having a hard time dealing with the fact that they don't necessarily have the monopoly on populist ideas. And it would be totally understandable if it was just sour grapes, but the Democrat leaning media outlets are trying trying to paint this like "no big deal". I've heard more than one outfit claim the House victory for Republicans was "incumbent advantage" while the Senate loss for Democrats was due to "having too many seats to defend". It's a preposterous amount of hypocrisy, yet Dem fanbois are just eating it up!
I don't like Republicans either, but come on, Democrats. Man up. This is undignified, not to mention ridiculous. Trying to retconn history just so you can continue to religiously cling to your precious hope and change....
