Some are suggesting this CBS drama starring Tea Leoni is designed to help Hillary's campaign. I sort of doubt it given Tea Leoni is hardly a hildabeast clone. What think you all?

I hope it has zombies or maybe Gordon Ramsey.

Who is suggesting this utterly ludicrous notion?

I was googling the show to see who the cast was and that was one of the articles I saw. Given Tea's legs I don't think anyone could confuse her for Hillary:mrgreen:

apparently, the creators claimed they were "inspired" by Hillary's Benghazi testimony. I haven't seen much overt political partisanship-unlike say the west wing which was a DNC campaign effort

Nah, I read the pilot plot as I never heard of this thing before. Not even close to Hillary, but the description of the plot sound pretty interesting. The president was her old boss and also ran the CIA, could be a take on Bush the first.

I don't see that either. I think those who are trying to say a TV program like this is to help get Hillary elected have to be a little weird. As for West Wing, I never watched it. But like you heard it had a very liberal philosophy, the characters I mean. For me if I don't like the program I switch channels.

I didn't watch West Wing either.... that show was intended for Democrats, no one else.

i like political shows ( house of cards, me likey), but when they live and die by overt bias, I turn the channel

Back in the day I really liked Archie Bunker, All in the Family. The Mary Tyler Moore show was good and I like it as she played a reporter. But the spin off Rhoda was too much political for me to take.

Doubt it. Havent seen the show, and have no interest in it. Instead im watching the West Wing on Netflix.

She's Hillary as Hillary would like to be seen.

yeah the chances of seeing hillary in skirted suit (or tonight's episode) in a golf skirt is about as realistic as seeing Hillary dunk a basketball on a 10 foot goal

I have not seen the show but I have seen a commercial promoting the show with Tia Leoni in it. I'll bet Bubba Clinton likey...

She's Hillary as Hillary would like to be seen.

That was my impression from the (single) ad that I saw for it.

Wait, a woman SecState who sometimes has to buck the rules and make the tough calls in order to pull things out in the end because She's Just That Good??? Gosh, that doesn't sound like anyone.

She's Hillary as Hillary would like to be seen.

or as Bill would have like to have seen her

She's not quite the uber hot miniskirted babe in Bad Boys but for someone in her late 40s, she's quite attractive

I cannot recall any age where hillary could be seen that way by anyone normal

Then again, most actors make their livings, at least in part and particularly the women, on their looks.

Too bad that even in 2014, reference has already been made to Hillary Clinton's legs. There's so much to validly criticize--do we have compare her looks to those of a much-younger actor?

Cankles should be addressed at all levels of government.

Nahhh ... Tea Leoni is hot! I don't think you can say that about Hillary.

It is definitely a Hill commercial. The main character is to Hill what the Marlboro man was to smokers. It is meant to make people visualize her as they go into the voting booth and vote for Hill.

Oh, please. This is nonsense. The character and Hillary have nothing in common except for both being women.

The titular character in Madame Secretary is played by a pretty young woman because generally speaking the American public likes to watch pretty young women on TV instead of the more average humans they see around themselves on a daily basis. I'm happy to help on at least one difference between reality and television. For the people in this thread who were confused on that point, it is advised that you don't:

*attempt to walk in slow motion while wearing an expensive suit and sunglasses as a giant fireball explodes behind you.
*attempt to outrun an explosion at all. In fact, it's best to just avoid situations that would call for an explosion altogether.
*take on your city's entire organized crime ring armed with nothing more than a shotgun and a surly attitude.
*use martial arts to fight a crowd of ruffians (in real life they wouldn't wait to fight you one by one, and someone would probably just shoot you long before the fight lasted more than a few seconds).
*buy a Ferrari, rob a bank and drive from the cops in an exciting high speed chase. Most cities have dense traffic and you would find yourself frequently stuck behind other cars while the police just follow slowly behind you as they wait for an opportunity to blow out your tires.

And your average cigg smoker had nothing in common with the Marlboro man except they both smoked but the wannabe tough guys identified with him. That is how slick advertising works.
