It's hard to believe that there are people so blinded by ideology, that they would actually think that a comedy show wouldn't purposely take an interview out of context to get laughs.

I guess that explains why so many people on the left look to Comedy Central for their news... LMAO.

Yeah, I don't doubt that, I'm just not ruling out the selective editing or the far left-wing cast members as a possibility, as it is not only possible but likely.

The Daily Show often invites people to check out extended interviews on their website when they run over their allotted time by a significant amount (usually 10 minutes or so).

A four hour interview must have been riviting.

Honestly, to make Schiff look stupid you don't have to edit out anything. Any editing would only benefit the sorry libertarian; it couldn't make him appear any more laughable than he already is. The guy's an Austrian school loon, for heaven's sake. He's never gotten a single economic prediction correct.

I get a kick out of Jon Stewart. I don't always agree with what he says, but he's a good guy and his comedy show is a hell of alot more informative than most actual news channels. Which is pretty damn sad.

I agree, the Daily Show has a liberal bent and they have been known to pull punches with the likes of Obama so what Peter Schiff was thinking about is beyond me. But then again maybe Schiff was angling for the media attention so thats a possible reason why he did the interview.

Like Tucker Carlson, he actually thought he was cleverer and wittier than Stewart, a professional political comedian. As you recall, Carlson's show was terminated shortly after Stewart smacked Carlson down and totally humiliated him. Schiff didn't learn the obvious lesson.

It's comes from being an arrogant smug rightwinger living in the rightwing media bubble.

Schiff foolishly believed that because Ron Paul was treated with respect and dignity by that show, that he would be too.

Ron Paul was treated well because he spent the majority of his career criticizing neoconservatives. Schiff doesn’t do that to the same degree as he largely criticizes progressives.

Its easy to be happy when youre a child in the First World- everything is given to you. But just wait till you grow up and become an adult- you end up giving half of your income to the government and then wonder where it all goes to... thats when reality smacks you in the face.
