Isn't prompting of the audience common at pretty much all similar shows?
I don't think it is. Feel free to show that it is.

Isn't that something you should be proving?
No
The claim that what happened at this appearance is unusual is what needs to be proven
False. The claim is that CNN did it and that that is not how an independent news source is supposed to behave.
The in-fighting is due to the fact that most on the right actually think for themselves and have disagreements whereas the left pretty much thinks and does as they're told to think and do by the media and the DNC. Liberals remind me of the borg.

I don't really know. But how many people are going to change their vote just because an audience clapped at something Hillary said? If a clap can determine who votes for whom, this nation is in bigger trouble than I ever thought.
I could see some doing. Some people are so weak-minded that they want to be part of the winning team, regardless who it is.
When FNC did this for the Tea Party, I immediately perceived it as political bias. I guess I was jumping to conclusions. Same goes for when FNC altered the faces of Dems to make them look ugly. How do we know that they didn't do the same thing to Republicans? No

"To add “energy” to its show (attended by the Erik Wemple Blog), CNN deployed an enthusiastic stage director who coached the audience to applaud at various points throughout the broadcast — not in a partisan manner for Clinton, but for the sake of the town hall’s television optics.
That isn't the issue here. The issue is that CNN took it on themselves to goose the crowd to applaud to make Hilary's comments seem better received. It's not a matter of whether the Democrats do this, the parties are expected to do this kind of thing. The issue is that CNN took it on themselves to do it for Hilary Clinton.
What CNN Told Hillary Clinton’s Audience to Do Before Her Town Hall Puts to Rest Questions of Bias

Approximately 15 minutes before the show, the producer ran the audience through a practice round of applause and noise-making. The results of the audience-prodding turn up in the show’s video."
The responses from the audience were not genuine, they were as rehearsed as a sit com.
The bright side is that when the Democrats and their media admirers engage in this kind of phony populism they invariable put Hilary off her guard.. and that is when Hilary says the dumbest things:
"They don't see me as part of the problem. Because we pay ordinary income tax, unlike a lot of people who are truly well off, not to name names; and we've done it through dint of hard work."
Says the woman who is worth $100 million.
It's been pretty surprising how little enthusiasm the rank and file Democrats are showing for Hillary. They're going to have to stage every moment of her life In order for her to seem popular. Even her book only sold 60,000 copies and is now off the top 10 list.

Please elaborate.Altering pics is not the subject here. If warming up an audience is SOP in the industry (and it appears that it is), then it shouldn't be portrayed as something that was done to make Clinton look good.
Please elaborate.

I suspect Republicans stage their media events as much as democrats. I think America would be sad to know how much media is staged and how little of it is journalism.
