You want an example of liberal bias... Well here you go.

An accusation... Where's the testimony? Where's the emails?

When you track those down, let me know and I'll be glad to comment, but as it stands now, there is nothing to comment on.
Where's yours? End of thread. :lamo

Jesus Grim, you are impossible, ... all I find is conservative media reporting it. How the **** would Bob Schieffer know about it? ...

I'll make this real easy for you Pete:

...

Hey Grim ... I think Pete really did just inadvertently toss in the towel by acknowledging it's only natural a guy like Schieffer would never know about all media ...

Except you didn't do any homework at all. That article does not equal evidence and doesn't present any. Nor does it explain why there was no democrat investigations into this supposed 'wrongdoing?' Id say 'nice try' but it really wasn't.

So basically, you folks only care about what Obama (you think he ordered) did and not what previous administrations did leading to where we are now with any type of violations of privacy. I see how people are now, they hate Obama.

Its becoming clear that you are just incapable of anything other than purely partisan positions. This thread is not about Bush it is about the current accusations of IRS wrongdoing. Something, in fact, that may have absolutely nothing to do with Obama. There is a person at the center of the investigation who refuses to testify. I will just assume here that you, like every other liberal hack, simply has no intellectual curiosity as to why she might be doing what she is doing. How about we just get to the bottom of this particular inquiry and see where it goes? This woman IS hiding something. She KNOWS the answers as to who initiated the IRS policy to look into these groups and why, yet she wont talk. The fact that you don't care whether or not people within the most powerful and feared arm of the federal government acted improperly sort destroys your credibility and puts you in the camp of a unthinking, knee-jerk partisan.

Jesus Grim, you are impossible, when I Google this all I find is conservative media reporting it. How the **** would Bob Schieffer know about it? This is a perfect example of the Republican Echo Chamber in spades. Your OP... "Oh, the humanity!" if you get my drift.

Oh, Wait there is a story from Liberal Mother Jones.

Actually, if you think about it, your statement is exactly as much an indictment of the liberal media echo chamber as your claim that it is an indictment of a Republican Echo Chamber.

Just imagine. A well know liberal media figure doesn't know anything that isn't in the liberal media echo chamber? How's that not demonstrated proof that there is a liberal media echo chamber, that it exists, and that it is in full force within the liberal (majority by far) Biased Lame Stream Media?

Further, considering the importance of a politically neutral IRS, you'd think that BLSM would be covering this story as much ass Fox News and such. Next time around, when there is a more conservative government in power, the tables could be turned, and there'd be a precedence of acceptable use of the IRS then. But I get it. Only in this case is it really a problem or unfair.

Actually, this, along with the current IRS scandal, is an indictment of how really, really screwed up the government is.

Funny, some want just more and more government. I question the wisdom of this as well.

The IRS can't afford to be, nor should it be, perceived to be or used, for political purposes. Anything less than this benchmark, and it causes distrust of the IRS in particular, and government in general (as if we've not already seen this for the longest time) in the governed, to the detriment of the nation.

But then, maybe I'm too much of an idealist or something.

If there is one thing we know about liberals is that they watch the right wing shows.

Much of this depends on who is in charge at the time, D or R, both are know to use and abuse the powers of government which are at their disposal to use against opponents. Bush targeted liberal groups, and of late, claims that Obama targeted conservative groups.

Is there any truth in all of these accusations? Nothing has been proven in a courtroom as yet. Until it's proven in courts, all they are is accusations, and time/money wasted in the congresses investigating such. We'd think they'd have better things to do than going on witch hunts.

So it's really not a problem that the IRS is being used in this fashion? As a political retribution squad?

I certainly think that's a problem, given the vast power and information resources of the IRS, and I really don't give a dam as to who's in power doing it. It needs to stop. Full stop.

I can post a link here where my lovely governor in my state has done things here which could be construed as political hackery against opponents, and it doesn't even involve the IRS. But, you can do some looking around and find many instances where state, local and US politicians have used their powers against political opponents, which do not even get close to the IRS.

States are going to have to manage state affairs. Kinda a states rights thing. As the power of information grows exponentially as the volume increases, the IRS having all that information puts it in a unique position for abuse and misuse for political ends, and this is my concern. Don't really care which party does it, or why, it needs to stop.

Well it's not going to stop until or unless lawmakers want it to. Both D & R are reluctant to administer or touch rewriting of laws, much like neither party want's to touch immigration policies, it's poison to their political futures, which both will continue to use to their advantage, it just depends upon which is in control during that time.

Time to vote them all out. Hmm. Isn't that what the TEA party is trying to do? Or at least was trying to do.

Teabaggers represent many different things, almost none of which are on the same page with mainstream America.

That s your response to what I wrote? Really? What is sad is that you could put your own picture in his place and it would be just, if not more, accurate. You just lack the self-awareness to realize that.
You wont mind if I don't waste any more time on you. You aren't worth it. Now you can have the last word.

The are many planks in the Tea Party platform that I'm draw to, specifically less expensive and more limited government.
There are other planks that leave me cold, such as the excessive social conservatism as applied to people's choices.

Guess 'You can never get what you want', 'but you can get what you need'. :)

The Tea Party is very loosely defined, so you could call them a bunch of stamp collectors or a bunch of serial killers, and neither description would be technically wrong. You could do the same thing to feminists or environmentalists.
