Actually....it would seem Reuters is trying to exactly that....Honest Reporting. Not only did they catch the edited Photos, (yes....after the fact, we call that a mistake), they then went on to remove any semblance of manipulation by taking ALL work by the photographer out of the Database. Is there Bias in the Media....of course there is. But I think Reuters ate least, avoids the politics as much as anyone.

Reuters didn't 'catch' anything. They only pulled the photos after blogs found the faked photos and showed them all over the web. They were obvious fakes so the the question is, why didn't Reuter's editors catch them.

Did you read the Article....at all?

The Photos in question never made it to the Editor....this practice has been corrected. I am not defending the error, merely pointing out the realities of Media at this time, and only in my opinion. I will continue to use Reuters (amongst many others) as a piece of the Data I use to evaluate the news of the world. He!!...I even go to Fox for research, as I dont feel you can have Too Much information.

Re: move over dan rather.........

Two faked photos were published on the Reuters web site, and many still are posted on Yahoo and other news web sites (as of a few minutes ago). There is a pretty good description of the kerfuffle at Little Green Footballs.

Re: move over dan rather.........

This is what these people do, they can't fight toe to toe, so they wage propaganda wars. The problem is, many of these over zealous reporters, they can't help themselves, they feed right in to this, both knowingly and unknowingly. All I can say is, thank goodness for these bloggers, they are watching this all very carefully, and they should be encouraged to continue to do so.

As already stated, the photos were published on Reuter's web site. If they post photos on their web site with no editorial review, then they have more problems than I thought.
