I would call repeating mere rumors and such as lying and blatant distortion, and I doubt Geraldo is any more of a pandering hack than any you can name from the major networks. When so-called 'serious news stations', CNN, MSNBC, all three majors, and all the papers et al, carry hours of 'stories' and 'backgrounders' on frigging Mel Gibson's drunk driving arrest, you know they're desperate and feckless gossip mongers and hacks, and there is now no major difference between them and 'Entertainment Tonight' or Bill O'Reilly's old gig at that show biz tabloid he came from. |
Wahh Wahh Wahh...
What people fail to realize is that the media network is in the business to make a profit just like everyone else.
So if they report on **** and thier ratings go up, they will keep reporting on it. And, in the case of newspapers, if newspaper sales keep going up, they will stay on the same lame stories until something big breaks out or they realize they have beat the dead horse.
Its all about profit.
Hey, its capitalism. Isn't that what fat cats always say?
