Liberal Media Jums On "I like being able to fire people"

Oddly enough, I see nothing in there about denying claims or expending massive resources to figure out how to do so.

Heck, they use software to try to find any lame excuse they can to deny:

The problem is bound to grow as insurers make use of sophisticated data tools dubbed "denial engines," which are touted to reduce reimbursements by 3 to 10 percent. Bearing brand names like Ingenix Detection Software and Bloodhound Technologies' ClaimsGuard, they search patient records for any signs that claims have strayed outside company parameters. Weeding out fraud or speeding up processing is one thing; serving up excuses to deny legitimate coverage is another.

How Crafty Health Insurers Are Denying Care - US News and World Report

From the same link, The lack of transparency in the face of such mighty discretionary authority is drawing the attention of state attorneys general. Andrew Cuomo of New York has launched a nationwide investigation into schemes that low-ball reimbursement and stick patients with bills insurance companies should have paid. "All too often," Cuomo says, "insurers play a game of deny, delay, and deceive." His pursuit is in full throttle and has the advantages of his bully pulpit and his power of subpoena to pierce the opaque veil that patients never can.

If this wasn't going on, then why is there cause for investigation? It is no secret that insurance companies like to play the game of deny, delay, and deceive. Unfortunately, some people want to remain oblivious to this most obvious fact and proclaim that the insurance companies act in a way to increase the health of their customers.

Compared with six other industrialized nations, the United States ranks last when it comes to many measures of quality health care, a new report concludes.

Despite having the costliest health care system in the world, the United States is last or next-to-last in quality, efficiency, access to care, equity and the ability of its citizens to lead long, healthy, productive lives, according to a new report from the Commonwealth Fund, a Washington, D.C.-based private foundation focused on improving health care.

How can you NOT expect people to jump on that sentence, regardless of context? And lets be honest...its not like Romney hasnt done the same thing...to Obama...

This. It is why I said wayyy back in the beginning of the thread, it is politics. Nothing more.

Gotcha... in other words you are a whiny liberal that likes to complain because one or two members of the media don't conform to your liberal viewpoint.

Typical.

Sad, you can't read. I was not aware of that. Yes, either I am complaining because one or two members of the media don't "conform to my viewpoint", or you could actually ****ing read and you'll see I said that's what conservatives are doing by labeling the entire media as liberal when there are clearly plenty of conservative media options.

Open your eyes man. Reading: we learned it in grade school.

No one that I've seen has ever labeled "the entire media" as liberal. That is a figment of your imagination.

Now, what were you saying about reading ??

Have you ever read Grim's posts or listened to republicans? Ever heard of the "lame stream media"? LOL

You're funny, man. :)

Yeah, no one has said the media isn't liberal just like no one has said AGW is not real.

Yeah, no one has said the media isn't liberal just like no one has said AGW is not real.

If you believe this, feel free to post examples.

Be careful though.... your tin foil hat might slip down over your eyes and you'll be blinded more than you are now.

Do you actually know what "lame stream media" means ???

There is an argument that the "mainstream media" is liberal - well, I wouldn't call it an argument. It's funny, while listening to talk radio, I hear conservatives calling the media liberal. I laugh a lot when I listen to talk radio. I'm not going to provide you with examples, Gill. If you are not aware of this argumentative faux pas of the "liberal media", then you either haven't been listening or you are too biased to notice.

This is pretty amazing that I am having an argument with a conservative who is actually claiming that other conservatives do not call the media liberal. Wow.

Two things.... you obviously have not read a thing I wrote

and

You obviously don't know the difference between the "media" and "mainstream media."

Oh I don't? Would the most watched network on TV count as "mainstream media"? Your comprehension is lacking, sir.

Post some examples of so called right wing media not only taking words out of context but actually changing those words as lib media did with Romney story. If you are correct it should be easy.

Have you ever watched Fox News? I mean, like watched it with a critical eye?

Seriously, every other Conservative on this board freely admits that they are biased to the right. I don't want to bash Fox for being biased, but come on...

This shows how they not only took Romney quote out of context but surgically removed a few words from a sentence to make it appear too mean something entirely different than what he meant. Turn OFF CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, don't read NY times, you are being brain washed.

PolitiFact | In context: Does Mitt Romney like firing people?

I believe the selective editing to which you refer was done by Gingrich's SuperPAC. I get the feeling that they're not liberal. Call me crazy.

Nobody changed the words of the Romney story as far as I know.

Nevertheless, you asked, so here are just a few I found myself:

Fox News Badly Misquotes State Dept. Spokesman Saying That Voting For Palestinian U.N. Bid Is 'Anti-Israel' | ThinkProgress

James Miller: Fox News Makes Quote Up About Iran (UPDATE)

Fox News Boycott | Sean Hannity Badly Misquotes President Obama

That only scratches the surface of the bias on Fox, which you could easily find more about if you cared to.

Those three links were convoluted to say the least and strained to make it look like FOX did something wrong. The Romney misquote is right there in your face and it is very simple and straight forward to see how the lib media twisted it to mean something it didn't. Is that really the best you can do?

Oops. Damn liberals.

I love the primaries.

No, they prove me right.

The Romney misquote has nothing to do with the other misquotes. Which I provided. Too bad you can't face facts.

My head is spinning around in circles. Let me see if I understand: The Liberal media is trying to make sure that Romney gets the nomination, because they know Obama can't beat a real Conservative. So they trash him...using material from Gingrich, a "real conservative" whom they hate...there better be one hell of a conspiracy theory here.

Instead of playing games, what do you consider the "most watched" network on tv???

Yes, your head IS spinning in circles.

Nobody said anything remotely like that.

The point is much simpler: blaming the liberal media for something Gingrich or his supporters said or ads he ran is goofy. Got it now?
