Ack, no. I don't want any of them controlling our hearts and minds. **** the talking heads, let's control our own minds. That is the problem with Media Matters, MRC, NewsBusters, Breitbart, Salon, etc, they try and force us to see things their way, and won't stop at dishonesty. Whovian is correct, MM is not reliable, he was just incomplete, and used unreliable sources to prove his point. Irony at its finest.
 
What you have to do Wovian, is gather the evidence and present it yourself, so it takes at least one of the pathetic excuses away that the liberals use to avoid reality. Don't get me wrong here, they will still find other excuses to dismiss the facts... They always do... But by presenting the case yourself, instead of linking to it on a blog, they have to concoct an even more ridiculous lie to weasel out, which is far more entertaining to watch.

What I've found is, they will almost never face up to any facts that contradict their beliefs. It seems to be inherent with the ideology. The thread I just made on Dan Rather proves that conclusively. So you must change the game from "showing them the error in their beliefs", to "making them look as foolish as possible, by forcing them to have to make up the most outrageous lies possible". Unfortunately though, they will most often try and change the topic, or simply run away from the issue. Although that's not nearly as much fun, it can still be entertaining to watch.

No, MM lies because they are liars. BigGovernment was just one source I happened to link to. As I said, I could go on all night with source after source, but libbies will whine and complain that the sources aren't being fair to their precious liars.

I am a "libbie" and don't argue that MM lies. Your sources just are no more reliable, which is what I found amusing.

Like I said... I could post examples of their lies all night. You and others like you will simply whine, complain, spin, twist, and otherwise try to wriggle out of what the links show is obvious...

Media Matters Lies. Always have... ALWAYS will. And the people who look to them as the Gods of media truthfulness are no better than they.

Do I 'really' need to spend the next 2 hours posting source after source? Really? Facts are facts, regardless of who provides them. Media Matters does indeed on occasion present actual facts. That does not detract from the many more times they outright lie. If FOX News presents something, and it is indeed factual, would you claim it is a lie, simply because it was FOX? If not, then why do so in this case? Facts... are facts.

The same argument could be used for MM though. The issue is not that MM lies(they do), but that lots of websites lie, but you singled out one, while using others as evidence. People should question everything they read on the internet, and partisan sites should be suspect, always.

I wouldn't say anyone who uses them for a source are just as bad as they are. They are just naive and will jump on any I hate Rush Limbaugh, Neil Bortze, Michale Savage or Glenn Beck band wagon.Media Matters caters to people who hate but do not listen to conservative talks shows. Once in a blue moon someone will be stupid enough to post a media matters article and people who actually listen to that particular talk show will point out how media matters is wrong.

The articles he linked to explain the problems in the Media Matters bits. If you think they're wrong, then point out exactly how. If MM are the stalwart journalists full of integrity and the Light of Truth that you constantly say they are, it should be easy.

And no, it makes no difference who's saying it, you need to address the points, not the source. That should go without saying, but for anyone with a link to MM in their sig, it probably doesn't.

I posted multiple articles showing instances where MMA lied. Not my problem if you're too blind to accept the facts as multiple sites presented them. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion... but not thier own facts. You want your own facts.

Condescension is not against the rules PB. If it was, you'd have been banned your second day on the board. As for baiting, I respectfully disagree with your opinion on my posts.
