You really want to talk about looking like a FOOL??
Okay, let's got to the video, shall we...
0:25 Seconds in -- This idiot says he
usually doesn't bother responding to attacks from the left... Are you freaking kidding me?? Is he joking, trying to be ironic... I don't think so. Beck is so deluded he actually forgets how many hours a week he devotes to defending himself.
Just look at how many threads Grim has posted with Beck defending himself... I would LOL, but that first statement by Beck just makes me gape in disbelief at the deluded rodeo clown....
- 0:36 - He attempts the moronic "ratings = credibility" argument. Really, because the WWE wins the cable ratings every week and that's fake...
- 1:00 - mocks MSNBC "already dead"... Ego masking an inferiority complex.
- 1:12 - Plays the Huffington/Ailes tape and begins making his case
- 2:40 - plays the referenced segments and begins paraphrasing what he said.
This about where Beck goes full-retard--defending the analogy by claiming that he didn't mean "literally" Obama was going to go to flight school and fly a plane into the ground...
Yes, Mr. McCries-on-Cue, we know Obama is not pilot. But you were making a figurative statement using rhetorical language to communicate to your audience what Obama had in store for them. We get it.
What's particularly disturbing is Beck chose the imagery of a pilot "
intentionally steering it into the trees"... He used that word: Intentionally. Who else intentionally crashes planes into tall things like trees and building? Terrorists. Does this asshole really think we didn't notice?
- 3:45 - sidenote, at this point he makes a prediction that the downturn will "most likely" take place after Christmas. Oops. Good thing he's not on FOX Business.
- 4:00 - more explaining the analogy between economy and plane crash... Yeah, yeah we get it... Ka-Boom. But then Beck goes off the range...
5:09 - "taking you to a place to be slaughtered"followed by a straw man argument mistaking how Huff framed what he said... In other words,
Becks lies about how Huffington characterized the statement. She didn't. She just laid it out there.
- 6:00 - then back to his ratings... (no wonder Grim is so obsessed with ratings lately, that's all his master talks about...)
Okay -- so let's recap -- he made an analogy about the economic policies of President Obama. In this analogy, the President is an airline pilot who is intentionally flying the plane into trees -- violent and horrible imagery, the President (pilot) is a mass murder of the passengers, (economy).
Disturbing, hyperbolic, not supported by facts at all, but we get that's how GB sees the President, as a terrorist. What a patriot!
BUT THEN -- the concluding statement "taking you to a place to be slaughtered." How does this relate to the previous analogy? It doesn't. The statement comes out of no where -- and when you put in the context of the far-fetched Nazi/communist conspiracy theories that pour like crap from this dummy's mouth...
What Beck is doing so inappropriate, so beyond the scope of political commentary... Honestly, it's Goddamn scary, Grim, that you can't see how pathetic his lies and scare tactics are.
Huff quoted him -- she was using a shorthand as the quote had been in the news and Ailes knew to what she was referring.
The quote is not out of context because the statement itself really came out of nowhere... How did it relate to the plane analogy?
Beck (and Grim's) attempt to show dishonesty of far-left = MASSIVE FAIL.
Beck's defense of the quote is beyond stupid.:2wave:
