Post the most bona fide news source!

Ok folks, Let's see your opinion on the most bona fide news source that you know of. I will start here by claiming that Daily Kos is the most bona fide news source. It was tough, because Info Wars seems pretty solid... Can anybody dispute my claim and post a more bona fide news source?

Major networks and FOX.

Fox is excellent for breaking news. If one flips it on, it's important to realize if you're listening to news or infotainment, though.

NYT and WSJ are pretty finely balanced, each leaning in the opposite direction. The overall quality of reporting has gone down in the last 20 years, but it's better than outright propaganda like Breitbart.

Nothing on TV is acceptable. It's all infotainment, even when it pretends to be straight news reporting. Text has to rely on omissions and inclusions of various facts if it wants to serve a certain bias. TV gets to throw in fast-talking, music, flashy lights, meaningless charts, successions of short segments, etc, to distract you.

However, I've been hearing good things about this chap by the name of Kane.

I am glad to see a couple suggestions. I am concerned about CNN, since it has been considered the Hillary News Network, and they clearly did have a horse in the race during the election cycle. I watch CNN and MSNBC, as well as FOX News, and would not consider any of them to be bona fide news sources. Even if FOX was a legitimate news source, they are not considered as such by the left. Pretty much all of the MSM sources were shown to have hidden agenda or to collude with the candidates. I would rule those three out.

I'd take Fox as a news source as long as one is not confusing opinion pieces with news.

I did have a Trumpeteer tell me that WaPo is less reliable than the Daily Caller. That is just wrong.

I am curious about the news you get from here. Does it come from a section of the forum that is limited to news coming from "bona fide" news sources? I am glad to see that you realize that FOX, Clinton News Network, and MSNBC are far from being bona fide or non biased.

Well mainly my routine is listen to podcasts while at work. These are typically conservative because that is my lean but I sprinkle some Liberal ones in. Examples:Ben Shapiro, Rubin Report, and Louder with Crowder are my favorites.

At home, I typically watch Tucker Carlson Tonight and Red Eye on Fox.

Use those to get a feel for what is going on in the world, then check these forums to see what articles are circulating and what the discussion around it is.

I usually use dissenting opinions for how much I trust something at face value before I get a chance to check it. For instance, if Fox says something positive on Obama it is likely true. Trump has been odd because he is so polarizing he could literally end poverty and create world peace and the left will find a way to tear him down. While on Fox they will pump his ideas as the gospel when they were blasting Obama on many of the same policies. Ben Shapiro has been the most objective person I have found on Trump (Conservative Never Trumper).

Sorry it took so long to respond, didn't notice you had quoted me.

EDIT: Given the times that CNN has been proven not only fabricating entire stories but deliberately editing video to fit a particular narrative, I just don't see how people can even view CNN as credible.

My motto personally is

"It's not true until Alex Jones says so"

Lol, I like the young guy from Info Wars that did all protestor interviews on youtube and Paul Joseph Watson. I never was that big of a fan of Alex Jones though.

I'm subscribed to Paul Joseph Watson on YT. I don't agree with him on most issues, but I think it's important to have many varied news sources.

What I really don't appreciate with Paul Joseph is how he uses recent tragedies to further is own political agenda. Also the bait titles such as "THE TRUTH ABOUT THE BERLIN ATTACKS". He posted that video literally hours after the attack, how could he possible claim to know the "truth" about it ?

To get back to the OP, my main news sources are :

- "Le Temps", "Hebo" & "Le Nouvelliste" - (Swiss magazines)
- Secular Talk - Kyle Kullinski YT channel
- Debate Politics
- TYT Politics (I really Jordan, one of their new reporters... despide Ana, Cenk & the rest though)
- Paul Joseph Watson
- Sargon of Akaad
- Computing Forever
- New York Times

Yeah, he does have a bad habit of fear mongering but some of his rants are so funny and spot on. The one about 2016 not being the worst year ever was classic.

Check out the Rubin Report if you haven't yet. It is less about news and more of just political discussion.

:p I figured it out after I posted it.

The best thing about Rubin Report is that you can see it on youtube or get the podcast, and since it isn't directly tied to current events you can pull up just about any episode and enjoy the conversation.
