I see anti-Trump protesters destroying private property in Portland on television and it occurs to me that this is a result of simplistic and sometimes non factual reporting by the media. If this can be proven, is the media financially responsible for inciting destructive riots?
for example - Trump says //QUOTE: "When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best. They're not sending you. They're not sending you. They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems with us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists. And some, I assume, are good people." //
It is reported in many outlets as
//"When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best. They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems to us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists." — Presidential Campaign Announcement Speech//

//Whereas, on June 16, 2015, Mr. Trump denounced both the Hispanic and immigrant communities by saying, “When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best…They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems to us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists…They’re sending us not the right people. It’s coming from more than Mexico. It’s coming from all over South and Latin America, and it’s coming probably…from the Middle East;” //

OBVIOUSLY if one was Hispanic and read the CNS news one would be incensed - and riot.
Thus my question - can the victims of property damage by the anti-Trump protesters sue the media outlets for inciting riots?
