I don't listen to him, and I didn't go to the link, so I don't know what his take is, but I fully understand being thrilled that Hillary isn't going to be President at the same time as being depressed that Trump is.

Today as I rode in my car, I listened to the Rush Limbaugh program to see how he has been reacting to this. Rush was giddy with glee and could barely contain himself as he spoke into his golden microphone. I have never seen someone so happy, and Rush was hardly a passionate Trump supporter. More like luke-warm.

Hey, he and 10's of millions of Americans have plenty to be happy about.

Had Hillary won it would have be a bunch of MSM commentators celebrating. They probably would have offered up suggestions for how the GOP could rebuild after such a humiliating loss.

Lol !

Im psyched Hillary didn't get to appoint hard left wing SCOTUS Judges. Im psyched she didn't get to load up the DOJ with her cronies and appoint McCabe as the next FBI director.

Im psyched she didn't get to implement her stupid Green jobs initiative and that she didn't give the Democrats a chance to do any more damage to this Nation.

Im psyched George Soros blew hundreds of millions of dollars qnd got absolutely zero back for his investment.

Im also pshyched at all the Hillary supporters who are so butthurt they feel the need to protest, riot and threaten President Elect Trump and white people.

I could go without the protests. People tend to go too far.

I often laugh at Rush, so I suppose we're even!

I think the giddy feeling some of us felt came from the fact that everyone assumed she was going to win. The media, pollsters, radio show hosts, pundits, normal people --- we all assumed we would be saying Madame President. She's incredibly unlikable and untrustworthy, but she ran against a horrendously awful person. Donald Trump was the worst Republican candidate in the history of mankind and she still lost. The laughing has a lot to do with plain shock that it all went down that way.

Trumps buddy knows how to handle protestors. Rudy told his police first rock or bottle thrown, first broken window or other property start arresting people.

I was actually listening to him,and I hae a hard time squaring what I heard with your seeming message here in the subject line.

The only segment I heard him laughing with glee and giddy was largely as a sarcastic illustrative display due to a caller phoning in to chide him for being so dour and negative following the Trump win/Hillary loss. He proceeded a bit later to sarcastically go on a laughing fit, asking if that's how people think he's supposed to be reacting to this.

Perhaps I'm reading your intent or words wrong, but outside of that, for the hour or so I was listening I can recall only that instance of him laughing it up. Happy? Sure, but not really laughing hysterically

Same here.

I had Rush on today and about the only thing that he said that jumped out at me was the few minutes he spent on speaking about minorities and how they vote.

Hispanics vote for Hispanic concerns.............and it's ok.
Blacks vote for the Black concerns...............and it's ok.

When whites vote for a white concerns..........the entire liberal world has a ****ing meltdown.

It is kind funny because it was the first time I have listened to Rush more than 5 minutes in a very long time, and I actually agree with him fully on this.

Rush wasn't giddy at all, or laughing anymore than he would if it were 4 months ago.

I haven't missed Rush the last two days so I heard it. Honestly it seemed kinda fake. I don't doubt he's genuinely happy, but that seemed a little overdone. I have a co worker who does that and it usually makes me feel awkward because I cannot fake a laugh like that without being obvious.

Rush has many laughs.

Heartfelt

Mimicking

Snarky

Condescending

And if you don't know the difference, then you are not a long time follower like I used to be, and most likely not able to tell the difference.

Today's laugh that the OP described was not giddy. It was more snarky.

Perhaps you caught the beginning of when I started listening and I missed the context, but he's laughing all the way to the bank, regardless.

I was kind of in this area as well. I was laughing and shaking my head that Donald Trump actually won. It's just ridiculous, if you look at it out of context. Once you put it in the context of how dangerous Hillary was, it's more sobering. But then you're happy that she didn't get in, despite having her coronation before the elections.

I haven't listened to Rush...except for some of the times he's been quoted on DP...in years. I didn't even check out the link in the OP. But I can understand him being very happy that Trump won...even if he only gave Trump lukewarm support. I mean...Hillary lost, didn't she? That should make any conservative happy.

But I've got to say that the guy in this video probably has a better reaction than Rush did...

The video of laughter is complimented by the other side...
