In a general shake up at Fox last year, Greta Van Sustern was moved from her 10 o'clock Eastern slot to a more favorable 7 o'clock slot. O'Reilly stayed in the most coveted slot at 8 p.m., and Megyn Kelly was given Hannity's slot at 9 p.m. Hannity was bumped to the least popular slot at 10 p.m. and his ratings suffered a bit as a result of it. In all these years nobody, and I mean nobody at Fox or any of the other cable news channels has been able to challenge the top ratings that Bill O'Reilly consistently pulled.
But during this campaign season it has been interesting to watch as those trends have been slowly changing.
Van Sustern remained my favorite until she left Fox a few weeks ago due to a contract dispute. I usually watch O'Reilly's opening memo as it is usually well done, but other than the Watters World segment that is quite entertaining , have been pretty hit and miss with his program as I get frustrated with him talking over everybody or everybody talking at once. And he is so non partisan that I think he sometimes deemphasizes stuff that should be emphasized.
Megyn Kelly is so obvious in her contempt, even hatred, for Trump that she long ago stopped being objective in any way and therefore I don't trust her journalism as much as some of the others.
And Hannity has been so obvious in being in the tank for Trump and is so thoroughly anti-Hillary that I figured he wasn't being taken seriously at all. But night after night he has hammered away at all the things the media should be focused on but isn't. And he does appear to be meticulous in his journalism.
So, I was encouraged when. . . .
I ran across this article showing that despite his bad time slot in the week just ended, Hannity's ratings have beaten EVERYBODY--all the people in all the slots on all the other cable news channels combined AND he beat Bret Hume who took Greta's place AND he beat O'Reilly that pretty much nobody has been able to do AND he beat Kelly.

Apparently a lot of people are hungry for the news that the MSM won't provide.
