I think it's generally agreed upon that MSNBC is to Democrats what Fox News is to Republicans. It's really easy to pick on Fox News, Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, and the rest of them too. At times Comedy Central provides more accurate news than Fox like when Fox was reported a Mosque was to be built at "ground zero" in NYC and Jon Stewart pointed out that by "ground zero" they mean several blocks away from ground zero in an old Burlington Coat Factory building.

While MSNBC isn't always as overt as Fox, it is essentially the other side of the same coin. Chris Matthews doesn't report the news as much as he is an apologist for the Democrat Party and someone who reports the wrongdoings of Republicans while downplaying wrongdoings of Democrats. Remember Keith Olbermann? ha Seriously, Chris Matthews talks over people when they bring up points he doesn't want mentioned just like Sean Hannity does.

They don't report the news as much as they reinforce people's feeling that "their team is right".

Is he the guy that said that Bill Clinton gave him a thrill up his butt??

That is a fair analogy, yes. Putting the two of them in the same room would risk destroying the earth in a black hole of smug.

edit: Although I must admit there's a possibility that it would be a smug/antismug explosive reaction rather than a gravitational smug reaction, my smug physics is rusty.

Of course not. Sean Hannity would never suck a black president's dick like Chris Matthews; he only sucks Trump's.

I'm not sure about that one, but he did say he felt this tingling sensation crawl up his leg during an Obama speech in 2008. Talk about "objective reporting". lol

No, no, those are the opinion shows. So it's ok. That's what Fox News told us.

Oh yeah. Clapton IS God. It's rare that I agree with anyone twice in one day.

It's the place for politics, not news like fox claims.

ha ha He actually didn't like that phrase and even thought Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Rey Vaughn were going to kill his career. No one had or has Clapton's tone!

He's one of the greats. That is for sure. My generation was so musically blessed I could go all night thinking just who was my favorite? And in 5 minutes, my mind would change. An exercise in futility.

MSNBC sucks...Fox at least has hot chicks.

"She don't lie, she don't lie, she don't lie,
Cocaine"

Sure takes me back to when I was in my teens.

MSNBC is decidedly to the left. I don't think anyone argues that all too much. Hell, does Al Sharpton still have his own show on MSNBC? .... Yes, he does.

But lefties don't flock to MSNBC like conservatives do to FOX. Otherwise FOX wouldn't slaughter it in the ratings on a minute by minute, hour by hour basis, so MSNBC's influence just isn't that significant, whereas FOX is highly influential among conservatives.

NO............... and MSNBC does not call itself a news source..............Faux News does and does so without reporting the news............

I think it's generally agreed upon that MSNBC is to Democrats what Fox News is to Republicans.

Well, yes, if we're not specific than that. Fox News is the propaganda wing of the RNC establishment, and MSNBC is the propaganda wing of the DNC establishment, but their both controlled by their parent organization, namely corporations and wealthy people. So "Republican" and "Democrat" here shouldn't be confused with genuine ideological convictions.

While MSNBC isn't always as overt as Fox, it is essentially the other side of the same coin. Chris Matthews doesn't report the news as much as he is an apologist for the Democrat Party and someone who reports the wrongdoings of Republicans while downplaying wrongdoings of Democrats.

Chris Matthews is much worse than that. Chris Matthews doesn't have an ideology, he's just a total brown-nosing sycophant and will kneel before (and take marching orders from) whichever faction of the establishment is holding the reignsl. He actually has the audacity to claim that he was against the Iraq War, because right now he's pretending to be a moderate Democrat. When Bush was in office, Matthews praised the Iraq War.

Even people who hold a lot of liberal respect --like Rachel Maddow, Anderson Cooper, and Chris Hayes-- are people that I hold with very little regard. They are all total propagandists who profiteer off of lying on national TV on a daily basis. Still, they are not as insidious as Hannity or Beck or Limbaugh who aren't just liars, they're whatever transcends a scumbag.

In all fairness, the harder conservatives have to flock to FOX as there really is no other cable news source catering to their preference in "news." (And I say the word lightly.)

Centrists, independents, moderates and liberals spend their time flipping through CNN, MSNBC, and a host of other channels. The other media outlets have to share the market among each other. But not FOX. FOX is one of a kind. That is why they have the largest market share. They have no competition that caters to that market. They have a monopoly on the dittoheads.

Just as MSNBC has the market cornered on the hard left side. But more MSNBC kind of people are willing to flip the channel to other stations. (Except FOX, of course. LOL!)

"Is Chris Matthews the "Sean Hannity" of MSNBC?"

I would say yes. He is louder but just as partisan and just as boring.

Should we look forward to Hillary crying about how "Nobody calls Chris Matthews!" in the next debate?

"She don't lie, she don't lie, she don't lie,
Cocaine"

I like Clapton and I like the song, but what the heck is that particular line supposed to mean?
Cocaine she don't lie, she don't lie blah, blah.....?
I think some musicians and songwriters of this era---all eras probably--- maybe, just possibly were drug addled....really.

They are both hacks, but at least Matthews earned it. Hannity is just a tv personality.

I don't agree. Democrats are not the equal but opposite of conservatives. The few times I've watched MSNBC, I wasn't in inundated with lies. And the Daily Show made a living off exposing the lies and hypocrisy of Fox news.

Fox is slanted right but I dont recall them ever being caught manipulation images or editing tape to put forth their agenda like MsNBC has. Fox just does it with what they cover and how they cover it. MsNBC outright desperately lies and who can forget the clown team of Matthews and Olbermann on the election desk. That would be like Fox putting Hannity and Limbaugh on their election desk for this election.

You were inundated with lies - they were just lies you agreed with.
