1. The thread is not about Trump, although I appreciate you want it to be. It is and was about the parents and Fox News' treatment of their presentation - my comments have been related to those issues. The fact you find my comments to be a "slimey (sic) post, in the extreme" simply validates my view that liberals use faux-outrage on a regular basis, practically as a cottage industry, and often, as you have, right here on DP.
2. If the presentation had nothing to do with Muslims or the faith of the parents or soldier, why pick a Muslim soldier who died 12 years ago and not a soldier who died this year, last year, during the Obama administration. Your naïve ignorance notwithstanding, the religion of the parents was the only reason they were there.
3. I don't claim to know more than the parents about their son - I simply offer an opinion that could be just as valid as theirs. Their son is dead, so we'll never know. You can choose to believe that a soldier who died in the service of his country would love to have his death paraded out for political pandering. I have more respect for those who voluntarily serve their country.
4. Yes, I have, a son at a very young age and a wife in the same accident. I offer that only to answer your question and not to illicit sympathy or support of my views.
5. I'm sure you did see it coming - you asked for such a response and you got it.
