CNN matching Fox News Ratings

That idea has the same fatal flaw as socialism does... If fails to take into account human nature. Having one group control all news media would inevitably wind up making the news far more biased and untrustworthy than it already is. Why do you think state run media in other countries are the most biased, unreliable sources for an honest accounting of the days events?

Just look at PBS here in America. They are public run and are supposed to be non-political and non-ideological, yet produce some of the most biased, ideological, agenda driven programming you'll find anywhere.

People from all over the World should all run one media.
That would be the most UN biased media.

Their "journalistic integrity" has never measured very high. They have always been known for their liberal bias and I for one am glad to see that they are finally taking steps to correct the imbalance.

I'm sorry if you're not happy with balance, but there's still ABC, NBC and CBS if liberal biased news is what you want.

I thank you for your concern, but i do not expect news outlets to change their message to try to please me, or anyone else for that matter.

I understand.. You've made it clear that you are quite content with liberal biased news, and have no interest in balance or obtaining all the facts behind the stories of the day.

History has taught us that whenever something as big as the news media is controlled by one person, one family, one group, entity, or organization, it doesn't turn out very well.

I prefer factually-biased news, something that you seem to call "liberal biased news."

Very interesting. CNN credits their success to being less liberal. Fox is of course still doubling their overall ratings, but CNN is matching them in the target demos during primetime.

They were too liberal, and still have a few VERY liberal talent still employed, listed by me here "progressively" (see what I did there) from generally liberally biased to absolute left wing nut job: Wolf Blitzer, Erin Burnett, Brooke Baldwin, Ashleigh Banfield, and the very worst of all,
Carol Costello.

The remainder are pretty center of the road, including the two out gay guys (who you would think would be the ones to show a left bias), Anderson Cooper and Don Lemon, who both of whom have earned my respect.

CNN is my go to source for live cable news. Not for news as a whole, but cable news where I like to watch live on-scene reporting when an event occurs.

Well you know facts tend to have a liberal bias.

LOL - seriously though, facts have a factual bias, which is neither liberal nor conservative. Interpretations and presentations of the actual facts is where the liberal or conservative bias surfaces. Facts, when reported plainly without spin, do not get the ratings that sell advertising for news organizations. Therefore, they pick a lane (liberal, conservative, or combination) and try to make money with viewers that are comfortable with the bias contained in the lane they choose.

And I agree with that. Which is why I'm pretty much done with mainstream media altogether. It's all just ****.

I don't know any such thing. In fact it's just the opposite . The facts of life are conservative, that's the reason for big government isn't it?

Employers don't want to pay high wages for unskilled labor ( duh) . Solution->GOVERNMENT.( min wage )

People like cheap gas ( duh) . Solution-> GOVERNMENT.( cap and trade, subsidies for green energy)

People prefer driving over public transportation. Solution -> GOVERNMENT ( light rail)

Some people are better than other at making money( duh) .Solution-> GOVERMENT ( tax th erich)

Men work more than women thus make more( duh) . Solution_GOVERNMENT ( equal pay legislation)

The list goes on an on.

In fact one might easily say the whole liberal agenda is based on the concept that the facts of life are conservative
