CNN Covering Donald Trump Veteran's Rally

Ah. John Wayne's daughter. So, about as legitimate as Ann Frank's stepsister saying that Trump reminded her of the national socialists.

Ronald Reagan's son endorsed Barack Obama in 2008. I guess that means Obama was the right choice or something.

I think Trump basically just showed off his rich friends and those would be the people who could technically strong-arm him! Now he says he can't be bought, but what about those people. What also to make of Santorum or Huckabee? Do they get something from Trump later on?
I'll address things backwards. Santorum and Hucklesby. I think they are hoping to be a part of Trump's administration 'cause they don't have a prayer of being the GOP nominee in 2016. They temporarily put away their differences with Trump to side with him on these great causes for veterans.

Some of his rich friends put in a lot of money for the different vets charities last night. Note: not for Trump's campaign. Trump has stressed he's returned donations from some of these guys to Trump's presidential campaign.

Carl Icahn's name comes up a lot at all of Trump's rallies. Don't be surprised if Icahn becomes part of Trump's administration in some fashion. Also, don't be surprised if one of the guys (think Bill Ackman) who donated heavily last night becomes part of Trump's administration.
These guys are long-time friends of Trump. They are great money-makers. Trump values their decision-making ability. I wouldn't be surprised if Trump has already discussed government positions with them before last evening.

Vets, thank you for your service.

I don't think one has to worry that these guys want to get into government to make a quick buck (although their competitive drive still burns bright) because they all have a lot of money. What you can be sure of is these guys won't allow the US to be taken on very many deals.

No thanks Bernie. No thanks BO.

Vets, thank you for your service.

EDIT:A reminder. Trump is planning to create jobs. He's not planning to hope they trickle in via free trade. He plans to use fair trade. Tariffs.
Countries are really going to hate the US, again. I think: why should we (purposefully?) lose from deals to other countries even though they will never love (but will laugh at) us until we are second class? You hear me, BO?

Let me ramble for a while, here:
When Trump stimulates the economy, your dollar will buy less due to inflation, but your dollar will also buy more because the dollar will be so much stronger compared to other world's currencies.
This is one reason why other countries have hated the US so. Usually the dollar is strong compared to others. Another reason is because the US military has periodically reined in the imperialistic desires of other countries. This means some countries will only be placated with a US that has an inferior military and a weak dollar. SO THEY CAN TAKE OVER.

Right now. Inferior military. Check.
Weak dollar. Check.

I watched the Trump rally, mainly because I didn't want to give Fox my viewer number. It wasn't all that exciting, but probably more so than the debate. Trump shared his stage with 2 other Republican candidates, some very rich people, and some wounded warriors.

The very early next morning talking head reviews seem to think Trump won. I think so, too.

The Silver Hammer connects.

Good job by CNN, balanced and hard. Fabulous job from Trump, at least three flashes of political brilliance in his CNN interview.....need to watch it again.

LOL Careful now, someone might think you're touching yourself.

I may be wrong here but I really think the secret guy who gave money was Bill O'Reilly. He wanted to remain anonymous not to piss off any viewers. Plus Trump and O'Reilly are good friends. They've known each other for years! Trump gave O'Reilly the post-Fox News Round interview. He doesn't do that for free! I can picture Trump strong-arming O'Reilly and saying, "I'll do your show if you donate!" Bill would because he is a huge supporter of things like Wounded Warriors. I bet Bill was the first person he went to as well. No one else on Fox really cheer-leads for Trump like O'Reilly.

Your cheek must be sore from that tongue of yours jamming itself in there. Yeah, your guess is a good a mine, I guess. Could've been from Megyn Kelly...snort.

From Trumps rich friends....He is making zero apologizes for wealth, he is equating ability to put together wealth with smarts. And he is making that case that he is going to put that smarts to work for America, and he is attempting to bring the rich along in a coalition, he is saying that he is going to take care of them but that they need to pull their weight. Tough needle to thread given how well the wealthy have done compared to the rest of us , and since they have for so long resisted doing their share, but if anyone can sell it Trump can.

Trump right in front of our eyes is trying to make a deal to end the class war.

Pure. Brilliance.

Good god.

Have you ever seen Sean Hannity of FOX NEWS gush over Trump? I like Trump but even I'm embarrassed with all the softball questions.

Fox News RNC debate: 12.5 million viewers

Trump Rally, carried on TWO cable networks: 2.7 million combined

Trump's gambit failed.

I was making fun of Trump and Trump supporters - but you knew that, didn't you? Your faux outrage is noted.
His name was John Wayne Walding. He, among a crew of Green Berets and Afghanistan insurgents fought in the Battle of Shok Valley in Afghanistan. The Green Berets and counterpart Afghanistan insurgents' goal was to retake a town in that region of Afghanistan. They failed. They were pretty busy just trying to get out of the area alive.

The forces led by the American Green Berets took out approximately 270 enemies perched on the higher ground of the valley as the Green Berets were lowered down via helicopter. For those who don't realize, strategically, the enemy had the upper hand in the battle. There were less than 20 led by the American Green Berets.

Walding had his right leg almost sheered off from a bullet in that battle of Shok Valley. He and a buddy placed a tourniquet about his right leg then Walding continued firing. Some time after the Green Berets and Afghanistan insurgents survived the battle by having to kill all enemy, John Wayne Walding had his right leg amputated and a prosthetic put in its place.

He was at the Trump rally to explain his ordeal and all vets' ordeals as they attempt to cope with physical and mental injuries. Walding and another military spokesman mentioned this chilling fact that 22 American soldiers commit suicide every day.
The spokesmen wear rings on their shooting (index) finger to commemorate and morn the 22 soldiers that die each day by their own hands. Some of them very close buddies.

They placed a ring on Trump's shooting finger as a thanks for him helping to raise awareness and money for their cause.

The bit of Trump shadow boxing into the cameras was two-fold symbolism, IMO. He was showing off the ring to the camera and punching FOX NEWS? at the same time.

Go ahead, keep making fun CanadaJohn.

I know C-SPAN broadcasted the Trump rally for Veterans' causes, but I didn't know this until I came to the rally in Des Moines. No advertising that I saw, anywhere. People in Des Moines kept asking me where (and when) the Trump rally broadcast? Where and when staged? They couldn't find that information anywhere. I only found out about the time and location of the event because I receive Trump EMAIL from the campaign.

Donald even mentioned he didn't know if very many would show up for the event being it a quick turnaround from the announcement.
The auditorium was packed. The atmosphere was electric. I had to wait in line in 25 degree temperature for 2.5 hours. And cameramen kept poking microphones into everyone's faces asking why we liked Trump (as if we were idiots for liking Trump). We concluded the idiots were the cameramen.

Holster it, big boy. The poster said "John Wayne" endorsed Trump. That was open to interpretation and ridicule. Unlike your boy Trump, who ridicules people with impairments, I've never done so. Had the poster identified the military hero correctly and appropriately, I would never have posted what I did.

If you want to be offended, have at it.
