Of course, Rush, a rather uneducated bloke, fails to understand how our system of government works. We have a two party system. Legislation requires deliberation, debate and compromise. One side does not get to dictate policy. Nothing gets to be law without some help from the other side.

Rush is just gonna have to suck it up! The Omnibus Bill has a high price tag for a reason: It provides funding for all of government for at least the next 6 years. Moreover, it includes funding for the ongoing war on terror which also funds the military/defense beyond levels previously set in the Budget Control Act, two principle issues Republicans have typically supported. This may not seem like the GOP being fiscally responsible (and in a way it's not since the bill gives the President broad authority in allocating some funds outside the Executive Branch), but at least there won't be another short-term spending bill or another threat of a government shutdown for a while.

Great country, America. You don't have to be educated to live well. You just have to appeal to the masses to eat with the classes. Drug Dealers, Rap Singers, Hoopsters, Ponzi scheme designers and peddlers of smut, such as Rush Limbaugh, can do quite well. PT Barnum said it well "“Nobody ever lost a dollar by underestimating the taste of the American public.” and “There's a sucker born every minute.”. No question that Rush makes a fortunate peddling his political smut to other uneducated Americans that take him seriously. Hopefully you have sufficient education that would keep you from listening.

Your mom never told you " just because everyone jumps off a bridge doesn't mean you have to"? The great thing about this country is that minority rights are protected. Our founders knew of the tyranny of the majority. I will judge Limbaugh's rhetoric based on my intelligence, moral and ethical codes. I leave it to you to judge by comparing what the majority of the American people think. Slavery used to carry quite a bit of weight with the American people.
