Yes, the linked article is from Media Matters but please note I am only giving the numbers here, no 'biased' political analysis as to why ABC, CBS, and NBC are giving so little coverage to a major candidate.

ABC World News Tonight Has Devoted 81 Minutes To Trump, One Minute To Sanders

234 total network minutes for Trump compared to just 10 network minutes for Sanders, as the Tyndall Report found?

Andrew Tyndall provided the breakdown by network of Sanders' 10 minutes of coverage, via email [emphasis added]:

CBS Evening News: 6.4 minutes

NBC Nightly News: 2.9 minutes

ABC World News: 0.3

But how can that be? ABC News, for instance, clearly devoted more than 20 seconds to covering the Democratic debates, which featured news of Sanders, right?

As Tyndall explained to me, the number "counts stories filed about the Sanders campaign or from the Sanders campaign. Obviously he is mentioned in passing in other coverage of the Democratic field overall, specifically his performance in the debates."

*Trump has received more network coverage than all the Democratic candidates combined.

*Trump has accounted for 27 percent of all campaign coverage his year.

*Republican Jeb Bush received 56 minutes of coverage, followed by Ben Carson's 54 minutes and Marco Rubio's 22.

They want HRC to become POTUS. They will go after whoever they see as a threat to making that happen. Making someone more popular with republicants who is more likely to lose to HRC is a (correct?) move in that direction. Why attack 15 when you can get a better end result by attacking only one? The MSM may well agree more with Sanders' issue positions but realize that selling Progressive ideas clearly labeled as Socialist will not stop the republicants from gaining the White House.

Then there is the possibility that the owners of the corporately-owned mainstream media are afraid of the popularity of Sanders and his "Socialist" programs and actually prefer any of the other candidates, who have all shown their willingness to follow their corporate overlords wishes.

MSM is corporate owned. As long as a corporatist wins the MSM is happy. That's is something that even Fox News and MSNBC have in common.

This is a perfect demonstration of how bankrupt our political system is. Yes, politics has always been a dirty business, even on its best day, but still.

Oh my gosh! Someone on the left finally sees that the mainstream media is biased afterall.

THIS is funny! :funny

Of course, people on the left see the MSM as being biased. It's just that our view is that the bias is primarily against the left, unlike those poor persecuted "True American Patriots" who for some reason tend to believe that NewsCorp is the only "Fair & Balanced" news outlet.

Sanders does exceeding well with social media in comparison to Trump. Trump supporters by and large don't read; don't make political decisions based on some form of sound political analysis and have an aversion to statistics. They don't want to be bogged down with facts and they generally are not going to read information in order to form to their own conclusions.

Trump's staff have done the research. They know who their target audience is, how to talk to them and where to reach them - TEE VEE.

Who are the mainstream media? You must be reading a different forum than I am. There are tons and tons of posts on here about the right complaining about the biased main stream media and the left saying no, they aren't biased at all, only FAUX news is biased. No way is the MSM biased against the moderate left, yes the far socialist left. FOX news came about in the first place because there was a big market on the right for people sick and tired of the bias against the right in the MSM. Maybe MSNBC really came about because of the bias in the MSM against the far left. I will buy that.

Who could blame them... Just take a look at Venezuela.

Having trouble recognizing sarcasm my little stalker buddy?

Oh I forgot we're on an open debate website.

Challenging stupid ideas = stalking.

Got it.

Can't beat someone in debate, can't counter someone showing you to be a hypcocrite, can't defend your own words...

Claim you were being sarcastic and accuse the other party of stalking you... It's full proof.

You must really love me, because that's the only thing that explains your fixation.

Because we and everyone else wants to hear about Trump.

Why devote a couple thousand hours to the minutia of the OJ Simpson Trial?

Hundreds of Hours to a Malaysian aircraft?

The media is not an affirmative action group with some agenda of Kumbaya and every person gets 2 seconds of coverage. It consists of businesses.

CNN is on its knees. Ratings in the toilet. Cover Sanders or Bush and I and 90% go 'click'.

Why are the major broadcast media not covering Bernie Sanders?

they cover him some, but Clinton is the nominee without a single vote being cast, and everyone knows it. this is the worst presidential choice since Bush v Gore. everyone who has any chance to win is a ****ing foreign policy hawk, and most of them want to cut taxes while expanding the wars.

Major candidate? Wut?

Hillary is the only major candidate on that side of the isle.

This comment would indicate you haven't been following the polling numbers. Yes, Sanders is trailing Clinton in most of the country but he is leading in New Hampshire and has shown gains in almost every survey during the past month.

He isn't a major candidate by any means.
To be so in any way he would have to be within the margin of error across the board in all the polls. He simply isn't and has no chance.

He has zero change of winning, nomination or election. He is far too Socialist and would bankrupt the Nation in 2 years, even most Libs know this.

Sanders is an old scold who likes to moan about miyonehs and biyonehs and tells the news media that he won't answer questions on subjects the viewing public are actually interested in. He is a one subject candidate that said everything he had to say in his announcement speech and has simply repeated it ever since.

You can only go so far with zero personality and a stale message.

Sanders and Clinton are basically in a statistical dead heat in New Hampshire. They have been passing the lead back and forth to each other for the last few months.

From PJMedia:

Just 7 percent of journalists are Republicans. That’s far fewer than even a decade ago.

A majority of American journalists identify themselves as political independents although among those who choose a side Democrats outnumber Republicans four to one, according to a new study of the media conducted by two Indiana University professors. Reality has a liberal bias.

Nope, I don't "know" this at all. Most of the GOP candidates' proposals seem to me to hold far greater possibility of "bankrupting" America. The Republican pattern has been the same since Reagan entered office: babble about welfare fraud, big government, tax cuts, etc etc and then immediately start spending federal revenue on projects which benefit their largest contributors and drive up the national debt. Of course, President Obama has also "driven up" the national debt but for some reason the annual deficit between revenue and spending has dropped during his term. Gee, I wonder why the debt has gone up.
