MSNBC embarrasses itself inside San Bernardino attackers' apartment | Washington Examiner

NBC News cameras were allowed inside the apartment of the husband and wife who shot and killed 14 people at the Inland Regional Center on Wednesday.
What could have been a chilling look into the shocking "normalcy" of the couple's home quickly devolved into parody-like commentary from correspondent Kerry Sanders. Sanders provided such hard-hitting analysis as "it's just a typical sort of calendar" and "here's just some mixed nuts."

This is really painful to watch, holy **** MSNBC what were you thinking. note the seriousness of trying to figure out the babies toys and whether the computer was a mac or a PC..

MSNBC competing with the E network.

Well you wouldn't want to use the same brand of PC or diapers as a terrorist. :naughty

They also showed IDs & SSNs, unblurred, including that of the suspect's mother.

Wonder if any will be prosecuted.

What the heck is the Washington Post and their right wing sycophants mumbling about with this attack on MSNBC?

The news media was invited in and they took the trip around the place and that is what we have seen.

I guess you have to be a rabid right winger living in their alternate reality to be able to work up the feelings of outrage and anger against MSNBC that the Washington Examiner article wants us to feel.

Shakespeare wrote an entire play about this - MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING.

It's like an episode of the Kardashians.

Reminds me of how the left attacks fox over nothing all the time. Or just blatantly rewrites a story or edits footage.

No one held a gun to your head to post here.

How does your opinion about fox and people who attack it justify the absurd hyperbole of the Washington Examiner article?

CNN law enforcement analysts watching the footage with their jaws agape.

In a phone call with Grasswire, a spokesperson for the FBI field office in Los Angeles confirmed the agency finished their investigation at the apartment on Thursday. But law enforcement officials at other agencies said the building was still an active crime scene.

“I don’t know what’s going on,” Deputy Olivia Bozek, a spokesperson for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department told Grasswire by phone. “That is not a cleared crime scene. There’s still an active investigation going on.”

MSNBC, ABC, and CNN camera crews are probably going to end up getting smacked over it.

Gun to my head?!?!?!? How does a silly statement like that justify the over the top hyperbole of the Washington Examiner story which you presented here as newsworthy?

I did watch the video and thought it was a look at the apartment and - as I expected - any really incriminating evidence would have been taken by the authorities who first searched the place leaving nothing of any real interest to the case. The only interest in the story would be for people who wanted to see where these killers lived.

I do not understand how thate bland and mediocre nature of that warrants the hyperbole and outrage of the linked to Washington Examiner article.

Can explain it since in your own judgment and wisdom you decided to present it here?

I got through 2:25. Good grief. The computer is gone. Dummy asks what kind. The baby had toys. No kidding. Looks like a page of something was shredded, and the monitor had a cable. Muslim had a prayer rug. What a surprise.

Why is MSNBC allowed in a crime scene at all?

Any thoughts on the both the FBI and the local authority being shocked an active crime scene was being contaminated by the reporters? Any thoughts on broadcasting pictures and addresses of people?

The landlord invited many media teams in, from MSNBC, FOX, CNN etc etc.

I think it's absolutely disgraceful that they showed the SSN's and Drivers Licenses of family members.

Wut the **** was that ****?

"Look, there's a teddy bear here! Bright eyes dreamy!"
"What kind of computer equipment?" "Oh, good question! It's an LG monitor...."
"Look! Mixed nuts!"

Geez, how come he didn't peek in their underwear drawers?

This is the 4th Estate showing it's last gasps of credibility and journalistic integrity. The mad dash to self imposed extinction is well under way.

Did you miss that Fox News was there also?

Sickening -- all the way around.

Yes - I was surprised to see all the media people invited in and questioned if this was prudent. Showing the personal information was not something I would endorse nor see as a good thing.

What I was speaking to was the article from the Washington Examiner and the poster who saw fit to both reprint it and support its view attacking MSNBC. It appears that lots of media outlets were in there and ran stories showing us the tour.

I wonder if the Washington Examiner and the poster who saw fit to agree with it will also condemn Fox News as well?

I think it's ridiculous that this happened at all. I don't care who did it.

I think you miss the point of this entire thread...... and it has not a damn thing to do with that apartment.

WTF was the point anyway? "Oh look, a children's book in the laundry basket in the baby's closet. It must have been a gift, because after all, she's just a baby!" "Oh my, look in the garbage. It's shredded papers! Lots of them!"

What did any of that **** have to do with any of this? Did they let these vultures crawl around Adam Lanza's bedroom 2 days after he shot up the school?

WTF is wrong with officials?

I felt like a ****ing voyeur after watching that. I kept waiting for something important to be shown. Why didn't he show us what kind of diapers the baby wore? Or her mother's nursing bra?

Wut the ****? Ugh, I need a shower.
