WHAT??? NO thread on this hours after the debate ends? Yes, I am numb from the Paris attacks but there is a Presidential race going on here people...Crickets...Crickets...Crickets.... Nobody watched it? I guess I was the only one who did. So I will bother to post the thread. Not sure if this is the right section for it.

My takeaways, how could anybody like Hillary Clinton is beyond me. That sneaky witch like smile and laugh. She should know better. She actually defended how corrupt she is and says she will take down wall street. Lolz. yeah right.

Bernie Sanders sounded more like the left's Ron Paul.

Good job by Martin O'Malley, if only he had a chance. Though I do expect to see some of his poll numbers rise in the next few weeks. He'll take the biden people. Could do quite well after all is said and done. He had a great night and showed himself to the nation as being someone different than the other two on the debate. Unfortunately he doesn't have Vice President on his resume.

Yup Hillary has the nomination locked up, numb from paris and college football big matchups were on opposite it, Im surprised that anyone watched it.
 
I watched it..... main event of the night was when hlllary and bernie argued over glass steagall, bernie sanders said we should bring it back and strictly enforce it and attacked hillary on the fact that she's has received millions in donations from the big wall st banks. Hillary then countered by saying instead we should attack "shadow banking" as she puts it, but strangely simultaneously claimed glass steagall doesn't go far enough....

democratic debates are like that, they are usually very intelligent discussion about policy reform. People don't generally argue about whether or not the pyramids were built for grain storage
 
Saturday night is a pretty lousy night for a debate.

I watched parts of it.

It was like a 3 way love fest.

But when they got to the part about abolishing the death penalty I threw up and had to go in the bathroom and finish puking.

I watched it. Considering the fact that Donald Trump and Ben Carson weren't there is a reason viewership wasn't very high.
 
I would have, but trying to get over walking pneumonnia, typing on my ipad in bed is about all I can muster. Would have had to get out if bed and go to another floor in the house.

I watched college football. I don't have any interest in what politicians say.
 
I set my Tivo to record it since we had plans. I watched the first 10 minutes and then bagged it. She has the nomination anyway.

Americans don't elect straight talkers, so Bernie is out anyway. It's either another dynasty or that other guy who was there.

Seems true that Clinton won. Come on liberals, you want her after you destroyed Mitt Romney for doing similar things? I don't get it.

Sixty three percent of viewers also said they had a more positive opinion of Clinton after the debate, according to PPP. Forty one percent said the debate gave them a more positive opinion of Sanders and 37 percent said they now have a more positive opinion of O’Malley.

Ahyup - and besides, what's to watch? The same old, stale pabulum and "solutions" to problems they created which we've been hearing from Democrats for the last 70 years. Heard it all before, ad-nauseum.
 
i only got to listen to a bit of it because we were busy with other stuff. my impression was that the field sucks, and they are wasting time on the wrong issues.

One of my favorite lines was when Hillary said, in effect, that she was a tool of Wall Street honchos because of 9-11.
That was special.
And she got a big hand for it too.

Of course Bernie's opinion that Global Warming created ISIS got one's attention too.

Now you have to realize that if Bernie wasn't a mental case his line might have been the laugh of the night but now it's hard to choose the best line.

Considering Bernie probably really thinks it whereas Hillary was using the 2600 dead to suggest she's not corrupt.
Given that, I'd say that her chutzpah won her the prize.
