I think history has proven that you can be quite intelligent and still be a delusional loon. Carson is just one more example that proves this.

Ben Carson is the GOP Token Black.

His success is the result of white people pushing back against the liberal narrative that all Obama haters are racist.

It's an extension of the mentality that put Michael Steele in as the RNC Chair right after the 2008 election.

Dems have an old White & Privileged Woman and an old white Jew as the only two serious candidates.

The GOP has turned into the party of diversity. Cruz, Rubio, Jindal, Carson, Florina


"You want diversity?", the GOP asks.

"We got it in Spades!"

No, you got that all wrong. That wasn't a commentary on the source of his list, but the people he chose to put on it. For one, there's nothing wrong the people he listed, and if he wanted to list more in other fields he could have done so easily, and in fact he proceeded to do precisely that in post 168.
