Fox News most-trusted TV news/commentary source: poll

I never watch it anymore. Is that Glenn Beck clown still there with his blackboard and arrows? Or that Ann Coulter tranny?
And CNN pisses me off every time they use some'breaking news' non-event to pre-empt Anthony Bourdain.

I don't watch any news on TV. I don't trust any of them. Glenn Beck cries as much as Boehner did.

How the hell is CSPAN trusted by only 3%??? It's ****ing live! It's impossible to misreport!

Yeah, I don't get that. I trust CSpan more than any of them.

I love C-SPAN. It's the only place to get real news on politics.

Comedy Central?

I trust Bret Baier over anyone else who's supposed to be delivering news and not opinion. Other than that, I don't trust or not trust Fox. They're a non-entity for the most part. Oh but I do trust Neil Cavuto for business.

The Comedy Central thing is what got me the most. WTF watches Comedy Central for news? Wannabe ass clowns?

In a recent Gardener Inc. poll on the attitudes and political positions of debatepolitics denizens, only 8% recognized the fallacy inherent in the appeal to popularity.

This was part of a greater study that revealed only 6% understood an appeal to authority, and less than 1% recognized a Tu Quoque fallacy.

Math isn't your strong suit.
That might be, however those numbers really point to the most popular source. If you watch source X you're not going say source Y is the most trusted source, otherwise you would be watching it. Fox "News" gets the reward because it has decidedly Right lean. So, it's Fox vs. the non-conservative sources... Fox will win every time.

By right leaning folks.

It doesn't say anything about "right leaning" anything. Nice try though.

Nearly a quarter of U.S. voters say Fox News is the television news or commentary source they trust the most, putting the network ahead of its cable news and network rivals on that front.

Twenty-three percent of voters named Fox News as the TV news or commentary source they trust the most, according to a Suffolk University/USA TODAY poll released Wednesday.

CNN was second at 15 percent, followed by NBC at 10 percent and CBS at 9 percent.
ABC was at 6 percent, followed by MSNBC at 5 percent, Comedy Central at 4 percent, and C-SPAN at 3 percent. About a quarter were undecided.

The survey of 1,000 likely voters was conducted Sept. 24-28 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.

Really, Comedy Central? MSNBC almost got beat out by Comedy Central and was within the margin of error.

Well considering the other stupid channels do nothing but "Guess what happened on FB, or guess what Paris Hilton did, or guess what we found under lady gaga skirt, is that a dick"? When 90 percent of the other channels are media tabloids I would expect the one channel that reports LEGITIMATE news to be more trusted.

Who really watched the news hoping they talk about FB. If you use FB you already know whats going on when you login to FB, you dont need the stupid news telling you this stuff! I turned on Fox and it was about someone who was murdered in the city, a child abduction(Amber alert) and that the city was going to be flooded. I think that is a little more important than "Lady Gaga might have a dick".

I always get my news from Facebook, TUMBLR, Reddit, Twitter and Comedy Central because that is where all the important stuff about the Kardashians is at. Not really.

How do you get your news from FB? Its only made up of friends which means you are not getting it straight from FB. You are getting it from another SOURCE. Unless you are saying you subscribed to a new page that also posts ON FB, but if not you are full of it.

 It doesn't have to, Fox "News" attracks right leaning people such as yourself. :lamo

I guess you don't know sarcasm (in italics) when you see it or are you just being cute?

engrish much? I don't have my decoder ring on today.

How the hell is CSPAN trusted by only 3%??? It's ****ing live! It's impossible to misreport!

I'd say most of those polled were too stupid to know what CSPAN is.

JFC, I got one letter wrong, most intelligent people would know what I meant.

Pete, I already said I don't watch Fox. I don't watch news on TV at all. You were snarky so I was snarky back. My main focus was on Comedy Central.

Fox being most trusted at 23% means fox is the least trusted at 77%

No, it doesn't mean that. There were no figures provided for least trusted. You have to love the concept that comedy central is considered a reliable news source.

I tend to find it contra-empirical to thing any channel reliably objective and spend considerable effort trying to balance my information inflow and editorial.

Exactly

Didn't we go over this the last time this poll came out?

Reads to me as...

Conservatives: 25%
Moderates: 15%
Liberals: 30%
Jokesters (CC and CSPAN): 7%
Skeptics (undecided): 23%

Pretty much what I'd expect from any poll.

Oh, wait... are we supposed to pretend this is a reflection of a network's integrity and not just a reflection of America's political demographics?

BINGO!

Another way of putting it, is that of the 1000 people polled, 23% think FOXNews is the most trusted source and 77% of those polled do not think FOXNews is the most trusted..
