New Celebrity Video Urges Congress to Back Iran Deal.....

Is that what Obama was getting at when he said it was this deal or war? That some other future President might bomb Iran?

You can't seem to explain away Obama's stupidity and have no idea why you even try.

Obama is not acting stupidly on this point by making the observation and then simplifying it for the morons of America that, absent this deal, the alternative is war. Obama did not specify that "war" in this instance could refer to "an extended military operation" (which is possible) or that the immediate reaction might not include a military strike (which is possible), merely that in the long term, absent diplomacy, the alternative is war.

...*sighs*

Ok, let's start this back at square ****ing 1.

I said, "Iran is subjected to the most invasive and intrusive inspection regime of the world specifically because of its prior actions and because of the current beliefs of some of its leaders who are willing to shout 'death to Israel' and 'death to America."

You responded by disputing my claim that they are subjected to the most invasive and intrusive inspection regime by pointing out that they can have a 24 day waiting period before they must open up their military sites to inspection.

I then requested that you find me just one other country with such a waiting period because even with that waiting period, Iran is still subjected to the most invasive and intrusive inspection regime of the world.

You then asked why I compared Iran to the rest of the world.

Do you see the problem now? Do you see why you are just trying to take this debate into a circle?

OK, Then let's go back to the beginning. Do you believe Barrack Obama was telling the truth when he said it was either this deal or war?

So it depends on what the meaning of "war" is. Perhaps Obama should have given the public his definition.

He should hire you as his translator.

Heya Grant. :2wave: Morgan Freeman just thinks damn near all BO peep has done. Is just fantastic.....of course Morgan got to play the President of the US, in some B grade movie. So he thinks he has an idea of whats good and bad for a country.

Like most leftists.....Morgan rarely comes out of the World of Make believe. Especially after he was messing around with his step-granddaughter. Naturally he denies the allegation. But they do know he was having an affair on his Ole Lady.
I once admired Freeman's work but he just exposed himself as a fool with this commercial. It shows how successful people in some areas can be deeply stupid in others.

According to you, there are sure a lot of "deeply stupid" people out there. Among the people who support the treaty are the conservative British and German governments. Are they all "deeply stupid?"

How about the former Chief of the Israeli intelligence service, the Mossad? Deeply stupid? Ex-Mossad Chief Supports Iran Nuclear Deal : NPR (There's a lot of support for the treaty in Israel, by the way, even though the conservatives don't.)

More than 100 former US diplomats, from both parties, all "deeply stupid?" http://www.nytimes.com/2015/07/17/us/politics/former-us-diplomats-praise-iran-deal.html

You can disagree with the treaty. It's a risk. It's not perfect. But it's too easy to limply claim that it could have been better. The question is, is it better than nothing? Yes, it's clearly better than nothing, which would mean a war with Iran. And we all should understand that wars have a way of not turning out the way we hope they would. Right?

Well he is a good actor.....versatile. Can play a good bad guy and a good guy. Can't take that away from him. So he does provide entertainment.

I wouldn't use him as an example for everyday people concerns tho.

A deeper problem is that the Democrats know that the Low Information Voters actually look for celebrity opinions and will follow what they say. That's why Bill Clinton and Obama surrounded themselves with celebrities and congregated in Hollywood for the fund raisers.

By mingling with Presidents it elevates the celebrities to a position they feel they deserve and elevates the politician to celebrity status.

Now Obama is a regular on all the slavishly scripted talk shows where celebrity and politics have melded into a unreal world of pretend and make-believe, directed at the lowest common denominator.

Or ya know...you could listen to him directly (he has given several speeches on the topic)...or to John Kerry (also given several speeches on the subject)...or to any number of other spokespersons for the Obama administration instead of selectively relying on one quote to make your innane point.

The question is simple enough. Do you still believe Obama when he said it is this deal or war?

If simplicity is what you demand (despite the fact that we are talking a highly complex issue), then simplicity you shall have.

Yes, I believe Obama.

That wasn't so hard, was it? Obama was either lying or telling the truth.

Do you suppose he had plans to attack Iran if they didn't sign or that Iran would attack the United States if the US didn't sign? Who would be the aggressor in this war?

Ok, you have asked the same questions a few times at this point despite the fact that I have already responded. I am finished responding to you.

You never responded with a direct answer. Instead you suggested iit might be a future President, which was clear speculation.

You believe Obama so you must have a reason why, correct? What is this reason?
