Looks like Rep. Trey Gowdy was more interested Media Matters than he was of Benghazi. The Republicans want to spend the people's money for a political which hunt.

David Brock:

During his deposition last week before a congressional panel investigating the 2012 tragedy in Benghazi, Libya, Sidney Blumenthal -- a former journalist and Clinton White House adviser and my long-time friend -- was asked more than 45 questions by the Republicans about his relationships with me, Media Matters, and a pair of super PACs I founded, American Bridge and Correct The Record.

By comparison, Blumenthal was asked by those same Republicans fewer than 20 questions about the terrorist attack in Benghazi, only four questions about U.S. security there, and zero questions about the U.S. presence in Benghazi, according to a fact sheet circulated by Democratic committee staff.

The chairman of the House Select Committee, Rep. Trey Gowdy of South Carolina, was especially animated in quizzing Blumenthal, who, as the press reported weeks ago, is a paid consultant to my aforementioned groups. Gowdy asked Blumenthal about his role in the production and promotion of four Media Matters research posts that were sharply critical of various false claims made by conservative media on Benghazi.

Just get it over with Pete and ask Brock if you can be his love slave.

Brock's worried because Gowdy won't release transcripts.

Why is Trey Gowdy so interested in Media Matters?

Could be because Brock's involved up to his exploded nipples in certain aspects of Benghazi. Just a guess, of course. Gowdy isn't going to release the transcript of the deposition and that has the panties of everybody on the left twisted in some kind of weird peruvian knot.

An OP that answers its own question.

Why is always a dangerous one, but nice try on the negative spin.

Now back to regular trolling

As is often the in these kind of things, there's a lot of effort put into establishing or destroying a witnesses credibility before the witness actually testifies. If you were facing criminal charges and the key witness against you was your sworn enemy and was legally blind, wouldn't you want those facts to be known???

I am not quite following what you're saying or implying here. And who is facing criminal charges here? Please be more specific.

When a witness is going to testify, part of the process is establishing credibility or the lack of credibility. In a lot of cases, that takes longer than the actual questioning...

Perhaps because they get tax exempt status and how it has become a political machine for the Democratic Party, reaching to the level of the former Secretary of State.. Media Matters Flaunts Tax-Exempt Status While David Brock Admits Its True Objective | Mediaite
A 501c3 cannot actively canpaign for or against a candidate or issue, which Media Matters never does.

Media Matters isn't biased toward Hillary Clinton, they also cover for other Democratic candidates.

BTW, the author, Joe Concha, is a right winger.

You don't seem aware that Sydney Blumenthal was working for Media Matters at the same time he was offering advice as a paid consultant to Hillary Clinton.

This doesn't bother you?

Is Clinton ally Sidney Blumenthal undermining Media Matters' tax-exempt status? | WashingtonExaminer.com

No it doesn't bother me and the spin from the conservative Washington Examiner doesn't convince me either.
What 'spin' are you referring to?

Are you claiming that Blumenthal didn't advise Hillary when she was SofS, or that she wasn't told by the White House not to hire him, or that Media Matter didn't get tax exempt status while shilling for the Democrats in power?

From the second paragraph:

Blumenthal is walking a fine line that threatens to violate IRS rules that grant Media Matters tax-exempt.

That's not at all true. Campaigning for or against an issue or candidate would threaten their tax exempt status. Media Matters is not different than Newsbusters which is also a 501c3.

What or who was Brock's source for the details of Blumenthal's testimony? Usually journalists identify their sources.

Sorry, I missed your post until now. Here is you answer from the OP link:
