Hoorah!! for FOX NEWS and Neil Cavuto!!!

They're going to outsource your job to some third world country.

Then you will join the ranks of those who are dependent on government.

Now for myself, I own my own business and hire competent people, usually vets and I use the Rule of Three so I can waste my time on the DP not being productive.

The biggest decision I have facing me right now is telling most of those who part of the team that their hours are going to be reduced to 30 hours per week.

Do you even know what he does or are you just spouting off bull**** like you normally do? You are one of the most partisan hack posters this board has. What that means is you only look at a person's lean and make generalizing posts about the person.

Remember that study from the University of Maryland and WorldPublicOpinion.org saying Fox News viewers are the most “misinformed” audience? It seems that was misinformation.

Competitive Enterprise Institute Communications Director, and licensed lawyer, Lee Doren has just released a short video expose showing that the study is severely flawed.

“After looking at the supposed ‘myths’ that Fox News watchers believe, I quickly realized that something was wrong with the study,” Doren writes in the video’s YouTube introduction. “As a result, I read the study very carefully and realized that the whole study was bogus.”

He says the study does “not have data to support its conclusions,” and goes as far as to say it “may simply demonstrate that Fox News viewers are more informed than the researchers.”

The Competive Enterprise Institute is heavily funded by Big Oil and the Koch's and they get paid to deny global warming science. So it's not surprising they would also deny a study showing FoxNews viewers to be misinformed on global warming and a slew of other issues. The World Public Opinion. org study used random polling data with a 3.5% margin of error which is typical of polling data.....

Yea... Except they kinda are the problem..
"Those who watched Fox News almost daily were significantly more likely than those who never watched it to believe that most economists estimate the stimulus caused job losses (12 points more likely), most economists have estimated the health care law will worsen the deficit (31 points), the economy is getting worse (26 points), most scientists do not agree that climate change is occurring (30 points), the stimulus legislation did not include any tax cuts (14 points), their own income taxes have gone up (14 points), the auto bailout only occurred under Obama (13 points), when TARP came up for a vote most Republicans opposed it (12 points) and that it is not clear that Obama was born in the United States (31 points)." Study finds Fox News viewers most misinformed on issues
Y'know if you changed the from viewers to those that hear and see those same folks regularly whether on Fox or Clear Channel it would go up. The guy who's driveway I park in, swears he never watches FNC, but as I've found out, what he listens to in the car and upon going to sleep are exactly the same people. But, he's truly not an FNC viewer, that part is true.

I love it... you completely ignore the video which presents FACTS that discredit many of the questions used in that survey, and instead attack the people behind the video.

What a world you live in... lmao

There is more than one study that illustrates that consumers of infotainment like Fox News are significantly less informed than those that don't. I posted one such link to a different study earlier in the thread.

There was a time when America had a watchdog media and not a lapdog media. Liberals hate Fox news because they have the audacity to disagree with the liberal talking points.

Liberals seemed all too excited to have a watchdog media when Bush 43 was in the White house. Now it seems like the majority of the media is just running 24/7 damage control and the Liberals seem cool with that. I have watched liberal news call Bush every name in the book for things he did and then watch them be mum about it when the current President does exactly the same.

When I watch Fox News I am frequently exposed to liberal points of view Bob Beckel, Juan Williams, Allan Combes, Kristen Powers. I may disagree with them (actually I pretty much always disagree with them) but at least I am exposed to an alternate point of view. When I turn on the other channels it is pretty much a one sided Republican bash fest.
I suspect that is why Fox News has significantly higher ratings than the other networks.

I think you're correct about that, but missing that Fox was Bush's lapdog.

As to why Fox has higher ratings, they have a lot less competition in being a Conservative mouthpiece. They're pretty much the only game in town when it comes to the Republican party line on TV. So for those on the right who like to have their bias confirmed, it's Fox or nothing. A Liberal who wants his biased confirmed can choose between MSNBC or CNN.

Anyone with common sense discounts Fox news because they are biased and make **** up from time to time. Most of it isn't news but opinion. I want news from a news channel. Then I might share my opinion of the news with friends or family. They should rename it Fox Opinion.

No, "liberals hate Fox News" because Fox News is horribly slanted and inaccurate; just like conservatives hate MSNBC because MSNBC is horribly slanted and inaccurate. Both sides hate CNN, because CNN is just awful.

Obama is concerned about Fox because he cares more about messaging than policy.

Oh, it's interesting all right. Not sure why you chose that post to respond to, however.

They are all slanted. I passively watch it (certainly not one of those who cant miss a show) but when I do, they almost always have a liberal on or at least someone giving the liberal point of view.

Most of the criticism is greatly exaggerated or outright baloney.

Do they have a conservative slant? Certainly, but judging by their ratings they are talking about the issues that people are interested in.

If they as horribly slanted as you claim, why do they have liberals on their show at all, and why do they criticize Republicans all the time? I often times find they are less conservative than I am, particularly when they have had Krauthammer and King on criticizing Cruz.

Ah yes, those noted liberal firebrands like Alan Colmes and Juan Williams. Two more milquetoast, passive liberals you will be hard-pressed to find.

I seem to recall reading several pieces (I avoid watching this crap like the plague) talking about MSNBC absolutely skewering Democrats over the sequester. That doesn't change the fact that the two outlets are still little more than self-affirmation, political pornography masquerading as journalism.

Oh, it's interesting all right. Not sure why you chose that post to respond to, however.

Two reasons. 1) He hires vets, and 2) He's going to have to reduce their work hours, and that bothers him, being a vet himself. Jobs are not all that plentiful for most people, and he apparently feels a special kinship with vets. And I consider him a friend.

Greetings, Kobie. :2wave:

I love Fox! Just cannot stand the one woman that screams when she talks,,,,,Greeeeettttttttaaaaaaaa! lol

I don't see Soro's name anywhere on the list of Worldpublicopinion.org supporters or advisors.

World Public Opinion

So where's your proof?

The Tides Foundation is George Soros.

As of 2011, Soros had given a total of $3.5 million to the Tides Foundation, total, over the course of several years.

Is George Soros behind Occupy Wall Street? ? RT USA

In 2012 alone, Tides received a total of $89 million in funding.

Grantees*- Tides

It looks to me like the Tides Foundation is a hell of a lot more than George Soros, who is the left-wing boogeyman to many conservatives just as the Koch Brothers are the right-wing boogeyman to many liberals.

As soon as Soros or Koch names come up, you might as well stop talking.

CNN really is just ****ing awful isn't it?

Jesus Christ, where I live BBC world news and CNN are one channel apart, and I love to switch between them to see the contrast.

On one hand BBC will be doing some hard hitting journalism on the war in Syria, or the challenges facing woman entrepreneurs in India or whatever such bollocks... And then you switch to CNN...

And CNN will be doing some bull**** about micheal Jackson's doctor, or an apple pie in Denver or a screen, split 4 ways with all 4 people yelling at their top of their lungs for five minutes for the only five minutes something important like the debt ceiling will be discussed, in which at the end of the five minutes, before any rational thought has been expressed, they will be out of time and switch to a show that seems to turn people of colour into a ****ing exhibition "what it's like to be black/Asian/Latino in America"

**** CNN.

It's brutal. Wolf Blitzer is just terrible, and after him is just one putz after another.

What a world you live in... lmao

That video tried to overwhelm the viewer with information that would take hours if not days to research to see if his assesement has any merit.

But just quick glance, at 8:21 the video spokesperson, Lee Doren leads the viewer to believe that the Nobel prize winning economist, Joseph Stiglizt didn't think the stimulus worked by highlighting and circling his name.

If Stiglitz didn't think the stimulus worked it was because the government didn't spend enough which is the opposite of what Doren would have us believe. It's very curious that Doren never mentioned a word about that.

So it begs the question....did Doren ever talk to any economists himself?

At 19;29 Doren says that FoxNews never affirmatively pushed the lie that Obama was born in Kenya. And yet I had no problem finding that they did by showcasing guests that promoted the lie and the FoxNews hosts never challenged or corrected them. Doren also failed to mention the study he used to make that determination was flawed in that it only counted Hannity and O'Reilly and not all the other FoxNews shows.

At 20:00 Doren uses a clip from Rachael Maddow talking about the Chamber of Commerce using foreign money for political attack ads. I checked with Factcheck.org and what she said was correct...the Chamber of Commerce refused to confirm, verify or prove that the $75 million it spent on 2010 campaigns wasn't all or in part foreign money.

Overall, I found the video to be very dishonest and deceptive.
