Thanks to a new report by Media Matters, we now know that many Fox News contributors don't just play Romney campaign workers on TV, they actually do work for the Romney campaign.John Bolton, Elaine Chao, and Pete Snyder are all Fox News contributors, while Walid Phares is a terror analyst. Bolton is a foreign policy advisor and campaign surrogate. Phares is a special advisor for foreign policy and National Security Advisory Team, and the co-chair of the Middle East and North Africa working group. Chao is national chair of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders for Romney, and Snyder is a surrogate. Plus, there's Karl Rove, co-founder of an anti-Obama super PAC and regular guest Jay Sekulow, who frequently appears on Fox to bash Obama, yet also serves as an advisor to Romney.

Hey good job Romney! Get ya own media station! But hey who wouldnt expect this from the Romney campaign and the "fair and balanced" FOX News?

Who cares? I fail to see why this is an issue.

Agreed. FNC also has contributors who are unabashed liberals and work for the dark side.

:lamo You have to be friggin kidding me?

Dude, there are a lot of surrogates that work as contributors to the various networks that have connections to campaigns, parties or PACs. Another dose of faux outrage..

This is just one off the top of my head.

Donna Brazile- Vice Chairman for Voter Registration for the DNC. Also a CNN contributor.

Contributor isn't the same thing as anchor.

as long as they don't pretend it's journalism, i have no problem with them selling their confirmation bias. same goes for msnbc; just don't call it journalism.

Its commentary. In fact, thats what the vast majority of media is today anyway, especially on the network and cable news broadcasts.

Like it hasn't been established that these so-called 'news' organizations are ridiculously biased. From that race-card-playing marshmallow Chris Matthews and Chuck Todd on MSNBC, to Diane Sawyer at ABC and Brian Williams at NBC and a special kudo's to CNN for at least being somewhat ambiguous, but not entirely so, I think its safe to say objective news is flat out dead.

So Romney has one news outlet? I'm outraged.
If that's all we have against Romney, of course aside from being a successful businessman, I think we should count ourselves fortunate if he's elected.

All news stations are biased. The fact they decide on "what" to report on is a bias. If anyone believes that a news source is not biased in some way, please send me $50,000 in cash and I will invest it for you. Really I will.

Interesting that you actually right.. the news is shaped by whats not reported as much as what is and how..how its framed and even terminology...( terrorists being called "freedom fighters" etc)

BFD... The 3 words that accuratly describe this lame thread.

Do you know what contributors are? They are not reporters, news anchors or opinion show hosts... They are simply guests who are paid by Fox News to be available a few days a week on short notice, to discuss various issues of interest when they arise.

So I say again... BFD

Me neither. I mean, who cares if a bunch of uninformed older folks get their info from people working directly for a failed grab at the presidency? You should close the thread.
