John Stewart nails Megyn Kelly on entitlement hypocrisy

He singles her out but the hypocrisy is from the entire gambit. What I mean is that anchors may not be voicing their true opinions every time they open their mouth, but opinions that appeal to a very targeted audience which is then quickly forgotten. Entertainment for the here and now. Unfortunately what was said last week quickly becomes irrelevant because of the context of the situation. Many conservatives will see that and go "so what", she is right - maternity leave is part of a civilized society - it just too her too long to realize it (regardless if Clinton was responsible for FMLA or not).

It will be a wonderful day for America when mainstream news orgs get labeled for what they really are...comedy entertainment.

I wonder if they are conscious of their hypocrisy when they commit it.

Megan has many times used the fox news far right mantra social security should be cut ..this should but this is for her...so this is fine...we all know you dont need 3 months...mothers in the past never had 3 weeks and their children bonded to them just perfect...like 4 of my 5 did for my wife...my wife never took 3 months and that was her choice...

Stewart is making big bucks, reportedly 6 million a year and I think that colors his stance on the big issues, and he coddles govmnt leaders.

Julian Assange risked his life to get the truth about the wars to the American people and the world, but Stewart takes cheap shots at the guy?

SNL did cheap shots at Assange lately but Stewart said, “Transparency is a good thing, government wrongdoing should be ferreted out. Although, just because something is secret doesn’t necessarily mean it’s nefarious.” In sum, “an interesting yet less explosive and less than searing indictment.”

That's pure bullcrap and Stewart knows it.

Stewart went on, “The Pentagon Papers exposed blatant lies about how the government got us into the Vietnam War, how they continued to mislead us about the war’s progress, even the most cynical reading of these documents, I don’t think rises to that indictable level.”

Again, pure bull. Stewart is discounting blatant atrocities, lies and deceit by leaders and is just as relevant as Ellsberg.
