Filmmaker Naji al-Jerf (37) worked together with the activists of "Raqqa is being slaughtered silently" has been assassinated yesterday in Turkey in broad daylight by suppressor gun.

Quite tragic is that he had sought and received political asylum in France and was bound to leave today for France. Instead he died due to an overdose of islam.

This is not the first time anti IS activists have been killed in Turkey.

Islamic State critic found beheaded in Turkey - Telegraph

If only Turkey had been made a EU member, these things would never have happened.

Yeah, I heard this a couple of days ago. Sad news.

Naji Jerf fled Syria after Assad's crackdown on peaceful demonstrators. He was well known and respected for his work as a filmmaker and for his unwavering commitment to telling the stories of ordinary Syrians suffering human rights abuses during the nearly five-year civil war in Syria under the brutal violence of both Islamic State and the Assad regime.
