    The Future of Russia

I invite here to a Discussion about Russia's future, it is clear that it has no one chance to survive because almost everything is destroyed or damaged, most of educated people with brain or money have already left a country where only thefts, mafia, police or bribe-tackers enjoy prosperity. BTW even the Political System in USSR was more free and there were lesser political persecution as today in Putin's Russia. Who need the carnival with elections of 2012 when everybody know Putin will win with 90 or probably with 107 % as some years ago not far from Moscow.Thoughts?

I hope that American Tax payers will give fewer money for monitoring of so-called "Election 2012" in Russia, it is a sinless wasting of money because the results are already known.

Russia has vast natural resources and is one of the leading nations in exporting military technology and don't forget no country, superpower or not dares to try to bully them around.

    Not Russia but Oligarchs!
and is one of the leading nations in exporting military technology
LOL, Caddafy is already cursing its "technologies", BTW Russia buy now weapons in France and Germany.

and don't forget no country, superpower or not dares to try to bully them around.
Russian "Army" is destroyed, the Police force are more important for Kremlin and get four times more money as Military.
Still four years and all Russian "nukes" will be too old.

It is well-known that Putin's police state emlpoy thousands of FSB ( new name of KGB ) officials who harass and persecute any opposition to his dictatorship in Internet. There are thousands of web-pages in Google which can confirm it. E.g. the Last News from Putin's Kingdom of Freedom and Democracy which persecute anybody who is against Kremlin thieves and $$ billionaires.

FSB Orders Ulyanovsk ISP to Block LiveJournal : The Other Russia

BTW, FSB / KGB official with good knowledge of foreign languages makes not lesser as $3/4K monthly, a Russian physician, teacher or engineer not more as $ 300 monthly.

For KGB and Police Kremlin have always enough tax money, not for Russians who are more poorer as many countries of Africa or Latin America.

    LOL,

no one has any interest for failed and highly corrupted Kremlin Banana Republic, it is amazing how quickly Putin has transformed a former strong country to a mixture between Haiti, Zimbabwe and Nigeria with rusty nukes, extremely poor population and a big army of lawless corrupt police. It is understandably why every educated person with brain try to flee as soon as possible from Kremlin Prison "Democracy".The Russian People know that Kremlin will kill millions but never give power up because know the fate of Mubarak, Mladic and other Dictators.

    Re: The Future of Russia

A more serious response (assuming I'm interpreting the incomprehensible OP correctly): In my opinion, Russia is going to reemerge as a major world power in the next decade or so. The US and Europe are both suffering from some serious financial and political instability at the moment, and we're pretty much set to go down like a house of cards. China looks powerful right now, sure, but they're extremely linked with the economies of the west. They also have some serious problems in terms of unrest with their population. When the west goes down, China will follow. That leaves a power vacuum. The most like countries to fill that vacuum, in my opinion, are Russia, India, Brazil, and maybe a couple other South American countries. They've all got rapidly growing economies that aren't overly dependent on the West.

Maybe in five hundred years, but not earlier.
