Taiwan court upholds Ma's innocent verdict

Quote:
TAIPEI (Reuters) - Taiwan's Supreme Court on Thursday found President-elect Ma Ying-jeou innocent of corruption, upholding two lower court verdicts and clearing his name for the final weeks ahead of his inauguration.
The island's highest court said Ma had neither collected illegal income nor tried to break the law.
"Why would we reject the appeal against Mr Ma?" court spokesman Chang Chun-tsung told a news conference. "Objectively, he showed no intent to do anything illegal."
source
So after going through 3 separate trials all the way to the "supreme" court Ma was found completely innocent of all accounts - surprise? Not the least. This was nothing but political assassination by the pan green to smear Ma.

Then when rejected scream some form of political injustice because of partisanship

I didn't hear much, thanks for the partisan hackery. Mind presenting the evidence and letting me, as well as everyone else, to decide for oursleves if we think he is guilty or no?

PS. What the hell is it with you and taiwan? Its not like they are ******* of anyone or going to, as far as anyone can tell. Really now, its like the defeat of the "pan greenwhatchamawhositz" is the beginning of the coming of the Christ of Crack.

The top court stated that he was innocent read the source - how is that partisan hackery?

Has DP suddenly become only about US issues? Don't care for it, no one called on you to comment on it.

My mind is not the supreme court's. Present evidence rather or court records than just some newspaper article and let us make up our own minds about the situation. Perhaps I might think the court to be wrong? OOPS! Can;t have THAT! How DARE Darky think something that differes from some court in taiwan!

Of course not, but its like every other thread you make is about taiwan or tibet or china. If you like china so much, freaking move there, not many of us really care for much about asia. The US already had a bout`e with the Native Americans, we want to avoid another one.

Was there anything to lead you to believe of partisanship in that article from reuters? They simply presented the facts as is. If you are curious do your own homework before screaming foul play.

Then I suggest you just take it and leave it then. Note the sub heading of the thread - international politics.
You don't care for it, then don't participate in it. You want to participate in it then do your homework before being an utter arse about it.
You don't care for anything in Asia that's your predicament, no one is forcing it upon you.
You want to make a big deal about it take it up with the mods then and express your desire to make this forum only about US affairs.
I have my right to free speech just as you do don't like it, tough deal with it.

Have you taken a poll, that you can claim that "not many of us really care about China"?
I beg to differ, and I'll have you know that I'm reporting your post.
Your behavior toward jfuh is despicable.
Get lost, you and everybody else who isn't here to DEBATE POLITICS.

MY behavior toward JFUH is despicable? For heavens sake WHAT did I do?

And by "many of us don;t care", I meant the country, which I assure you, most people probably don;t even know where china is on a map, let alone some country named taiwan. Sorry that I didn't specify.

And even if I am wrong, what did I do to have my post reported? You think Jfuh can;t handle himself? You think he is some child? NONSENSE!

Ought to report your post for reporting my post.

Not from Reuters, from you.

They reported that the SUPREME COURT of Taiwan said he was "not guilty". Good for reuters. Thats a fact. What else is a fact is that I am not the supreme court, therefore I can decide for myself whether or not he is guilty in my mind.

Now, if I may see a transcript of the court case, or evidence or anyhting that was discussed at the court so that there IS something to debate besides "did the taiwan court find Ma guilty?" BEcause, you know, that simple fact is not much for a debate.
