Why is North Korea Disarming Their Nukes?

Does anyone actually know why North Korea is standing down the nuclear missles? I never thought I would see this day. Opinions welcome but looking for facts here.

The pressure was not bilateral, because China is intimately connected, so if it works and sticks, blame Bush for knowing about this:

“Agreement between the Commander-in-Chief, United Nations Command, on the one hand, and the Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army and the Commander of the Chinese People's volunteers, on the other hand, concerning a military armistice in Korea.” FindLaw: Korean War Armistice Agreement: July 27, 1953

If it fails we know who will blame Bush and say bilateral talks would have worked.

“Destitute North Korea struck a deal with regional powers last month to disable its Soviet-era nuclear complex in exchange for aid and an end to its international ostracism.” {Bold emphasis added}

It's difficult to make guesses about the internal political life of North Korea.

I'll still believe it when I see it. I wouldn't be surprised if they changed their mind and kicked the weapons inspectors out tomorrow. North Korea has never honored agreements that they've signed, so I'm dubious. Maybe a year from now I can say I was wrong...but this could easily be a ploy to extract more concessions and/or sell their nukes for cash instead of disarming them.
