Taiwan is not part of the entity that calls itself the People's Republic of China. It a separate and independent country and owes nothing to the PRC.

The only person here that has ever insinuated that Taiwan is part of the entity of the People's republic of China as ruled through Beijing would be none other than Ludahai himself.

Ludahai on Bigsoccer.com I have long held that Taiwan is legally a part of China due to historical and legal issues, however its moral case for sovereignty over the island is severly weakened by Beijing's constant obstruction of the legitimate health care concerns for the people of Taiwan. It is about time for Beijing to come around on this.

I don't care who said it.

What Taiwan needs to do is get a nuclear weapon to keep the orcs from the mainland off their backs then go her own merry way.

For the purpose of what? It would only lead to a pointless escalation of violence.

Only if the PRC started it. Taiwan won't. Obviously Taiwan has a desperate need for nucs to keep the orcs off them.

IF Taiwan goes nuclear it would pose a risk to the mainland and would undoubtedly result in sever violence with millions of casualties.
Nukes will not keep the orcs off; and it's not as if the orcs are doing anything right now that is even remotely close to an invasion.

We don't have to guess what would happen. We already know. Its called deterrance. Ask the Russians how it works. Nuclear weapons would make the cost to the Communists of trying to conquer Taiwan to high to contemplate. The result is coexistence, not war.

Actually the nukes would deterr the enemy from attacking Taiwan just as they deterred the USSR from attacking Western Europe during the Cold War.
