| Whatever you may say, the US Army is putrefying and becoming more and more scornful Whatever you may say, the US Army is putrefying and becoming more and more scornful. In the first instance, this refers to US troops deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Now, how did it happen? Young Americans were able to learn much about the "amenities" that US Army veterans in Iraq and Afghanistan are limited to. Once being deployed there, US soldiers inhabit hovels willy-nilly with modicum of comfort. That's if they are fortunate. Most US troops (over 400,000 people) don't even have a roof over their head! And this is an exact reason why young Americans prefer to back out joining the US National Guard.
For another thing, US Army has gradually become a hostile environment where friendly fire and teamkilling has become ever frequent. The reason for that is streamlining US Army recruiting requirements for reasons of acute shortage of "cannon fodder", I mean conscripts. In consequence of that, quite a good number of tasty blighters have joined the Army.
Some world experts believe that the decision to bate demands on recruits was lobbied by White House in favor of those high pillows who have a stake in Asian drug business and are interested in expanding the drug traffic. Of course, it is much easier to enroll criminals to do all the dirty job in drug business for many of them are quite accustomed to it and are able to fit well into the elaborate drug traffic scheme of Afghanistan that is run by Americans. |
