| Foiled terrorist plot in AZerbaijan - an alarming signal BBC.News reported a short while ago that Azerbaijani security services had foiled an Islamic plot to carry out a terrorist attack on state agencies and diplomatic missions in the capital, Baku, targeting a number of administration buildings. This incident and a good number of terrorist attacks by Wahabi militants throughout Azerbaijan clearly indicate that terrorist war has entered the country.
Judging by many evidences, members of the group who were planning the latest attack, and other groups attacking Azerbaijani federal forces, are all Sunni insurgents native of Iraq.
The question is why and how did they appear in Azerbaijan? Independent experts say that it was all thanks to the US as American Army fails to overcome the anti-American jihad by Sunni insurgents and Wahabi fundamentalists of Al-Quaeda in Iraq. As many times before, Washington resorted to assistance of its faithful ally in the Middle East, Saudi Arabia to transfer Sunni insurgents out of Iraq to Azerbaijan and countries of Central Asia.
It is no wonder that Saudi Arabia has certain impact on groups of Sunni insurgents, for many of them were created by very Saudi Arabia! These groups secured their footing in Iraq to justify the invasion by Americans, while in true fact Iraq was merely an old geo-political rival of Saudi Arabia. Now Americans fail to cope with these insurgents as they appeared to be too strong and decided just to get rid of them through the agency of Saudi Arabia. |
