New Nightmare on Elm Street

From the commercials? Looks like it is gonna be kick ass! I cannot wait:)

Not for me. I hate these superficial remakes. Especially with all the sensationalism they put into horror movies nowadays (and movies in general) it just seems so over the top that its silly to me.

I think Hollywood has forgotten the power of silence and negative space. But then again sensationalism sells, so they try to pump every movie/tv show full of it. I guess that's why I don't like most new movies/tv shows.

EDIT: Also whenever I watch a new movie/tv show I always feel like the story is incredibly weak and patched together; especially with TV shows I think they just make it up as they go. Fringe comes to mind. God I hate JJ Abrams.

This movie seems like a terrible remake, all what it is going to have are "beautiful" people who can't act. And they are going to change the story more so that it will have more gore than psychological affect on audiences. The movie will suck.

I plan on renting it when it comes out on DVD and mock it. When I watch horror, usually, I'll root for the villain. When that happens, the whole thing turns into a comedy for me. If the movie's good, I might not do it, but most horror movies have pretty people who can't act be jackasses that I could care less about. It's nothing more than glorified soft core porn.

**** no.

I Still have nightmares about the first Nightmare on Elm Street.

The original was the first movie I ever saw in a movie theater. I'm not a fan of horror movies, but I'm afraid I won't be able to resist catching this one in the theater.

Doesn't help that I'm a huge fan of Jackie Earle Haley.

I wasn't interested until I saw that he was going to be Freddy.

I'd be more interested in there being another "Freddy vs. Jason" movie.
