I'm going to watch "Sully"

Well I was planning to watch it, but after reading your entry I decided not to.

Im a huge Clint Eastwood fan but WTH has he been doing with his movies lately? He embellished a lot of stuff in American Sniper as well.

I am one of the few people I know who didn't like American Sniper for precisely that reason. Being already familiar with the story before I saw the movie I knew a lot of it was fabricated and it just ruined.

Saw it today. Great movie, definitely a 9 out of 10.

By the way, stay for the credits.

It's the 15th anniversary of 9-11. Instead of coming together and growing stronger as a nation we have been driven apart. There is zero chance Trump or Hillary will reverse that course.

So to avoid the pit of despair these thoughts are leading me to I have decided to focus on the positive today. I am going to watch "Sully". One of my favorite actors portraying one of my favorite real life heroes.

Saw Sully yesterday. I thought it was great. I was trying to equate the landing on the Hudson with something else I've seen at the theater. SURPRISINGLY, I came up with the dramatic impact of two other movies...Saving Private Ryan! The opening scene of the DDay landing. And Castaway. The crash. Both starring Tom Hanks. What a quality actor. He picks his projects well. Kudos to Clint Eastwood.

I hope it wins, or at least gets nominated for, an Oscar.

Only dropped 37% in the second week-end, which is in "amazing" territory.

This picture has legs.
