Netflix Runs Into Trouble

Wait... A trump supporter complaining about providing less and value for higher and higher prices... What?

You give me a "WHAT"??!!

We have talked about this......not everything has to revolve around Trump. Us educated people can think of and use several concepts at a time, and we learned at some point that ideas are not connected to the people who give voice to them in any meaningful way almost always.

Thanks for attempting to pay attention in class.

Let's not do this lesson again, MKay?

As always BEST REGARDS.

I have Amazon Prime and a shared Netflix account (shh, don't tell the government) and I find myself watching stuff on Amazon Prime, which also includes deals and free shipping. It is just a better bang for the buck. Netflix is just not what it once was.

For me there are three things that really piss me off:

1) There is a lot of non english stuff that is not segregated or labeled well, and since most of the time I am not willing to go to the work of dealing with subtitles they piss me off with all the time I waste trying to find the stuff in English

2) There is a lot, and I mean A LOT, of newish stuff that could not ever get a screen (direct to DVD/Streaming) and almost none of the old great movies, this is the problem of flooding the site with crap (cheap) content. There are some really good arty gems in the pile of crap, but they take a long time to find

3) They used to have a really good homepage suggesting content that I might want to watch, but now their search engine (is that the right term?) clearly is showing me stuff that they want me to watch rather than what I want to watch, which really pisses me off.

I am wondering what others think.

Dont be shy.

I have absolutely no problem finding content on Netflix. Is this another "Taco Bell" type problem?

Could be... in both cases I am talking about being offended by crap, avoiding the crap, being willing to pay for better than crap....it is me expecting better than crap.

Hillary v Donald, and D beat a Clown Car of pro's.

Dont bother telling me that America demands quality.

Hell most of the time it is a kick in the ass to argue that Americans knows what quality is.

I get the feeling you would complain if your ice cream were too cold. Netflix is a good deal, you are simply a skinflint.

I said that I would pay more for better, this is not about me being cheap, this is about me being an educated boy and liking to surround myself with quality.

You PLAYED.

You LOST.

Still beats cable, hands down, and if you have kids nothing beats the unlimited rewatching of the same shows ability.

In the sense that I refuse to do commercials in my movies now, YA.

Some of those cable movies are 40% commercials.

Either they are very long, or they get clipped

It is very ripe crap.

Netflix- good value, good interface for resuming, good original content, but the most major downside is a stagnation of content.

Amazon- worth it for shipping alone in my opinion, resume interface is finally good, decent original content, and while it offers a decent range of content, it irritatingly suffers from horrible navigation issues because paid content is mixed with free content.

HBO- most expensive of the three at $15/mo, good new movie selection, great original content, resume interface still needs work, and content navigation still needs work.

I'm happy to pay more, especially if they could provide things like local broadcast channels and sports.
