Scotty Moore had a huge part in the success of Elvis Presley's early career. He provided the reverb laden guitar tracks that helped Elvis' songs sound so good.
Elvis dumped his original band in the late 50's, at the behest of his manager, Colonel Tom Parker. Scotty Moore, one of the greatest Rock n Roll guitar players of the 1950's ended up a producer in Nashville.
Tons of legends cite Scotty Moore as a major influence, from Keith Richards to Jeff Beck to Bruce Springsteen.
RIP Scotty.
