New Indiana Jones Movie

Well folks if you didn't know and I didn't either; when Disney bought star wars they got Indiana jones as well.
so that means there will be a new Indiana jones movie.

the director will be Steven Spielberg.
from what I have read Harrison Ford is signed on to play older indy
and there are some casts done for a younger indy.

so this could be a good end to the movies.

my favorite was probably Search for the Holy Grail.
with the last crusade following up.

my least favorite was the temple of doom.
but that is my personal preference.

with the outstanding work that was done on the new star wars I can't wait to see what
they do with this one.

I don't think it will.
I think I might have liked it more had I not been like 7 years old or so when I saw it.
and the monkey brains just grossed me out back then.

in any even no I don't think it will be like the crystal skull.
again that was a George lucas mess right there.

not sure how Disney is going to take it or what direction it will go in
but I think spielburg is going to have more creative control.

sorry but lucas has really not impressed me lately with anything.
 
CRYSTAL SKULL was crap pure and simple.

If they go with Indy as an old aging crochety advisor who follows what Ian McKellan did with Sherlock Holmes last summer in MR HOLMES - it could be good. But stay away From George Lucas and do NOT even ask him for ideas - and if he gives them anyways - go temporarily deaf.
 
If I remember rightly Shia LaBouef was meant to be the new Indy (as Jones' son or something?) but then he went off the rails. Will they just pretend Kingdom never happened and introduce another long lost son of his??
 
Since Disney is doing it I bet they will follow the Force Awakens template that they did for Star Wars: make the story exactly like Raiders of the Lost Ark (the Nazis find a bigger Ark of the Covenant) and end it with Indy being stabbed by Mutt Williams before falling off a bridge and then the aforementioned Mutt Williams gets easily beaten by the new Indiana Jones- a girl- in a bullwhip contest.

Isn't the search for the Holy Grail the plot of The Last Crusade or am I reading you incorrectly?
 
I LOVED The Holy Grail.





The Last Crusade WAS the search for the Holy Grail (3rd movie in the series). The only 2 that were really good movies was 1 and 3. I get what they were trying to do with the Temple of Doom...recreate the old 1950s era feel...but it was just too nonstop campy. It didnt work. The 4th...The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull...that was just...bad. If they are going a different direction from Mutt...thats probably a good thing.

2 and 4 were both horrible. Just really bad movies in every way.
 
My least favorite was when Spielberg proved that he had either been abducted by aliens or wanted to be with the Crystal Skull.
My favorite was Raiders of the Lost Arc and Last Crusade.
