Anyone else watching this? I'm on the first episode right now. It seem fairly good so far.
 
The naked concubine kung fu was a bit... Shall we say, gratuitous? :lamo

Why does every show think it had to be Game of Thrones?
 
i'm an episode and a half in. just binge watched my way through House of Cards and Peaky Blinders, so i figured i'd give another Netflix series a shot. it is interesting so far.

Netflix is kicking ass when it comes to original shows, IMO.

I'd ultimately rank among their less successful efforts. However, it was still pretty good, IMO.

The Mongols and their dynamic with the Chinese was interesting. The only real downside was Marco himself. The guy was basically just a generic pretty boy.

it's really interesting from a historical standpoint. i knew only a little about the Mongolian Empire. it's cool to see what it might have looked like.

The actor playing Kublai in particular was freaking excellent. He was just fun to watch.
